Not really trying to start another covid debate hear and just a simple answer will be much appreciated if you can help. Does anyone know why the booster does not show on your NHS letter which only shows the original two vaccines. In November they announced it would but actually doesn'tand cant find anything else on internet re this. How does that work if anyone wants to travel to one of those countries that already started to require proof of boosters? Not that I am traveling any time soon but curious to know if anyone knows why. Thank you. |

I've literally just had my booster and they give you another card to say you had the booster |

Thank you, yes they do but for travelling abroad it needs to be on the letter you get which does not show it at the moment even for people who had the booster a while back. |

"If you have the NHS app it shows on there."
I see, thank you. I asked 119 and they said they had been told it would show on the letter from November but not happened and nobody knows why. Not used the app, just requested a letter and questioned it when it was not showing on. I obviously have a mobile and could get the app if I wanted but was also checking for some elderly friends who do not know how to use that and in fact don't use a mobile. Thanks anyway. |

It's a shame it can't be on the letter as my dad has had all 3 shots but is not overly app friendly, he's in his lat 80's. He's had 2 letters because they said the booster would be on them but their not |

Yes, that's exactly my point too. When I asked 119 they said they had no idea why. When I asked what if someone wants to travel somewhere where the require to see evidence of the boost, as some countries have started doing, he said they just have to wait lol |

Thanks. The GP printout wasn't used in the end and it will partly depend on the country you are visiting. |

You could always register / log in on the app as your Father, print out the PDF and let him use that as his letter / paper copy.
Been using it that way all week abroad for vaccination proof |

Thank you. Do you mean you can use the same app on same phone with different logins for different people? If so, yes that could go a long way in addressing the issue |

If you were on the phone to 119 and they have you the correct information, why are you asking a bunch of swingers? |

I never got the answer from 119 and as you can see from appropriate responses above, I have had some useful insight of other ways you can get it so not sure what the point of your message was but I am sure was meant to be helpful |

If you need a booster after being fully vaxxed.
If you need to be tested after getting the booster.
If you still need to wear a mask to access some places.
If you can get hospitalised after all that
You've been conned. |

As I said in my opening message, I was looking for practical information on how to access a letter that shows the booster on. Whatever people's views are, and there are plenty and many threads debating that, when the letter is needed for essential international travel there is nothing else anyone one can do but have one and I wanted to know how others were able to access it.

There is something else you can do. You can show it on your phone or take a screen shot and print it out.
Which countries are demanding proof of booster ? |

Thank you. At the moment from what I can see some are putting expiration limits on the full vaccine like 9 months or a year but soon to ask explicitly for evidence of the booster apparenyly. I just wanted to make sure I knew what to do if that happens as sometimes I have to travel at short notice. Thanks to everyone who posted advice and useful comments |
