Plan C = Lockdown?

After yesterdays announcements regarding implementation of Plan B, is it only a matter of time before we see Plan C & some sort of hybrid lockdown over Christmas?
By hybrid I mean where households are allowed to mix under a certain number so Christmas isn't totally cancelled again and we can still see family?
With 60K of daily Delta infections and Omnicron multiplying every 2.5 days I can't personally see that plan b will have any affect for at least 2-3 weeks and by that time we could be 100,000+ infections a day? |

They could try but i honestly can’t see most people taking a blind bit of notice. Certainly at least not unless this new virus is seriously seen to be hospitalising and killing people. As for a full lockdown, simple fact is they can almost certainly not afford to start paying people not to work again. |

My hairdresser's brother's chauffeur's dentist's sister's husband says it will go to plan D on Christmas eve. Total lockdown with food parcels from the army.  |

The whole point of the vaccination program was to ensure we can live alongside a virus that isn't going away. Going back to lockdowns defeats the object and the general public will not have the stomach to participate fully anymore. |

These random lockdown predicting threads always bring the I'm not going to do it any more, I'm not going into lockdown comments.
Nobody wants a lockdown and if for some reason we do go into lockdown we will be in a very bad place. Everything will be closed all but for essential shops, so tell me how if we were in lockdown you would not comply?
Break into your local pub maybe? Go on holiday, start your own restaurant, go clubbing?

My Christmas lunch is likely to be cancelled and the few staff in the office have been told to work from home. I’m in Scotland so we’ve already been wearing masks in public areas, shops, etc.
I’d better get the Christmas dinner in at this rate. |

The way I see it personally is yes the Tories have made a massive amount of cock ups throughout the pandemic and have shown that even though they can apparently organise a p*ss up in number 10 they cannot organise anything else, but I don't personally think labour would have done any better at it as neither of them had any plan or clue what to do when the pandemic started and have spent the past 20 months running round like headless chickens. I have no faith in any of the current political parties and fell that Jim Hensons Muppets would have done a better job than the lot of them even if lead by bloody gonzo |

My feelings regarding the state of the political parties isn't based solely on the current pandemic situation rather the way I have felt about them for a long time now, it seems which ever party is in power the population get fed lies and bullshit just the same, I don't feel that any of them have the slightest clue what the world is really like for the average person to live in. For years now I have taken the stance that none of them should be in power and have shown this every time I have voted . Boris's current run of bullshit and lies is just getting worse and worse i agree with you there completely and don't think the bumbling fool should even be allowed to run a macdonalds let alone the country, sadly the majority of the population voted the twat into power, and the rest of us just have to put up with us cock ups until he is voted out or Guy Fawkes is reincarnated and finishes the job he started |

I don't think Boris would have the balls to after the cock up of the Christmas party last year and if he did I think most people would tell him to piss off.
I am now in the mindset we just have to get on with it, those that want to, take the jab and those that don't or can't...don't lol.
Of course I don't want to get sick with it but I also like my freedom, so as long as I act cautiously then I am doing all I can, that said I know of some people that have isolated not to get it, they go out once in a blue moon with all the masks etc and they still got it.

Yes it is counted as spoilt but it is still counted and if enough people did this then they would have to take notice of the voters dislike of the candidates we are presented with. |

We're in Plan C, as it should be renamed from B to C.as the masks on in shops that just started, should be the B.
They should get restrictions expanded, such as masks for all indoors places where people mix.
Maximum households and total people limits potentially.
England could be at Z by mid January, if they do little steps at a time. Not that the conservatives may vote for it. |

Plan B was brought in to avoid plan C which will be brought in to avoid a full lockdown. A lot of people are ignoring restrictions now even people who generally followed them before. Even my mother who is the most law abiding person I have ever met and has stuck to the rules 100% all the way through covid is planning on having a compleatly normal Christmas and ignoring any rules brought in so that gives me a general look at how most people will be doing Xmas rules or no rules. |

Besides the fact I'm feed up with it all now, I feel its time we should all be making our own choices on the risk thie virus poses to us as individuals and living our lives accordingly |
