2025. With home shopping becoming the most popular way to shop, Spar decide to close all but their convenient railway station stores. Nobody notices.
2026. Mr Spar, after suffering a near fatal heart attack brought on by purchasing two pints of milk, a sharing bag of Walkers cheese and onion and a packet of Rizlas from his own shop and it costing twice his previous years profits the company is taken over by his next of kin, Miss Happy Shopper.
2027. With increasing advancements in home shopping delivery options it's now quicker, easier and cheaper to order everything from Amazon and Spar is sold to them for 8 times the market valuation. £13.75.
Amazon use the remaining stores as drone recharge and storage units.
2028. Amazon is accidentally bought by Tesla after Elon Musk drops 186 trillion dollars in lose change at Jeff Bezos newly built Mars home while they played chess with pieces made from the souls of previous Spar employees, on a board made from an old Spar sign.
The headline carrying the full story on the front page of The Sun, 17/5/28:

It's a simulation not a plan. If they got it so right them it good modeling or luck. The movie contagion got a lot right about the pandemic is that made by the illuminati too. Even Simpson has guessed the future several times. |
