Vaccine and Covid reactions

I know people have had either no side effects or reaction to the covid vaccines or have had a reaction to the vaccine and this has got me thinking.

If the vaccine caused a reaction or no reaction in a person and that person goes on to contract covid, how severe were the covid symptoms.

To those of you that have had covid, how were your symptoms compared to the reaction to the vaccine.

No reaction to vaccine / no or mild covid symptoms

No reaction to vaccine / strong covid symptoms

Strong reaction to vaccine / no or mild covid symptoms

Strong reaction to vaccine / strong covid symptoms

The very low hospital rates are indicative of mild illness, pist infection.

We're all enjoying life as it is now because the vaccines are giving us this improved health potential

Not been infected, so don't have an infection story. I'm very fortunate

I had covid long before the vaccinations. Never been so poorly before. Took me months to be right..and still get days where I'm just floored.

Had sore arm and a few days of feeling tired with both my AZ jabs.... the Pfizer I've just had as my 3rd has had me in bed all day today. And agony with my arm x

I don't know, but I know they did some sort of booster or vaccine combination trial. It might have something to do with the results of that

I'm glad you haven't had covid, neither have I.

The vaccines are doing a great job, I think we have forgotten the actual impact at its worst and I googled it to refresh my memory.

Jan 20th 2021 was the highest number of deaths in the UK in a single day 1820. that is 75 people an hour, more than 1 a minute. "

I have had covid. As I said I had it long before the vaccinations were a thing

I had Covid and was pretty ill with it but never in hospital.

Also had long Covid.

The first jab was very similar to the illness but much milder and shorter. Also seemed to exacerbate long covid.

The second jab had very minor side effects.

Elle had it similar but she wasn't too bad with the first jab but had worse side effects with the second.

I had covid prior to the jab. Was rough for about half a day. Had bad reaction to the vaccine resulting in X-rays, blood tests and ultrasounds. After seeing the specialist I was told it was likely because I had already had covid.

Sense of smell is a bit off. My voice breaks when I'm ill. Bits of brain fog.

But none of it debilitating and back to doing full workouts and we run a lot of miles.

Achilles had covid really really bad and was told to go to hospital but refused. (We are not part of the NHS it is £55 per doctors appointment). He had the astrizenica (I can't spell the word ) with no reactions at all.

In comparison to Achilles I had a mild covid symptoms. I had the Pfizer and had a very very bad reaction I was throwing up for 12 days straight and could not eat a thing without being violently ill. I went a day and half without any water because I could not keep that down. I ended up on nearly 4 different tablets multiple times a day for 3 weeks to get back to normal. Needless to say I will not be having the booster.

I had suspected Covid last year, before testing was available. I was flat out in bed for two weeks, and struggled with energy and fatigue for a further two months.

After vaccine one (don't know what I got, trial) I had 24 hours of flu like symptoms (bone ache, fever, fatigue) and a few days of malaise. After vaccine two I had a few hours of malaise.

Had covid post vaccine. Vaccine reaction was worse - but still wasn’t bad.

Reason my covid illness was so mild was because the vaccine had given me the protection ahead of time. Otherwise I’m sure I would have been much more ill (I only had the sniffles and a few hours of a fever).

I've not seen any trials on mixing with AZ they were all mixing with Moderna Pfizer and Merck.

AZ costs £3

Pfizer £36

Moderna £58

That probably tells you more why AZ isn't being used.

I've not had the jabs but was kept in Hospital with COVID for 14 days prior to transfer to neurosurgery. I had no symptoms other than water tasted like mild bleach and I was exhausted, I never required oxygen or had a temp. The ratio of jabbed v non jabbed was half half.

I cant be jabbed now till next year when my antibodies run out.

The information has been that having antibodies from the vaccine or an infection won't prevent you catching covid but should lessen the effect.

It just demonstrates that cockwomble Boris and his herd immunity talk was, as most of us realised, a load of bollocks

Sooo to be clear, the reason we should all have the 2 jabs plus booster vaccination, a vaccination passport, huge stack of various forms, take a PCR test that maybe may or not show a negative or positive is to reduce the possibility of the effects of the Covid symptoms infection?

I mean if you want to amplify the negatives and virtually eliminate the positives of vaccination, then sure.

I'm probably the only one on the thread with a huge stack of forms (vaccine trial), but an outlier serves your argument, so go right ahead.

Antibodies to a specific antigen are usually short lived. As are specific T cells. The body can manufacture antibodies to a specific threat that it fought before from memory B cells..

As for vaccine side effects, if you have had the disease previously, you can expect a robust response from your immune system to the first vaccine and a lower response toward the second.

Enrolment closed in May 2021, unfortunately.

They gave the forms out as part of their obligations to test subjects under the Declaration of Helsinki. Making sure that the uniquely vulnerable position of a trial participant is protected.

Its main purpose was to see if there was more adverse reactions from mixing which it found there was but none severe, it was done on the basis of health workers requiring days off after being vaccinated.

Single blind with a control group of 158 all over aged 30.

The went on to a big study involving a thousand but they've not released the data on that one.

You have either had the placebo or the experiment if they jabbed everyone at the same time with the experimental jab no one would else would think of getting it after I feel for the ones who have been tricked into getting it going be a tougher winter this year but people lack common sense no one knows the long term data because it was rushed they didn’t even complete the animal trials after all them died it’s all about money and population control

"You have either had the placebo or the experiment if they jabbed everyone at the same time with the experimental jab no one would else would think of getting it after I feel for the ones who have been tricked into getting it going be a tougher winter this year but people lack common sense no one knows the long term data because it was rushed they didn’t even complete the animal trials after all them died it’s all about money and population control "

The people in the clinical trials may have had a placebo or an experimental vaccine candidate.

Those people are a tiny minority of those vaccinated in the UK, and know who they are, because it doesn't exactly happen by accident.
