Withdrawn for use for under 18 year olds in Denmark.
Sweden in under 21
Ontario province from under 30.
Risk from Myocarditis and pericarditis cited as reasons.
Interesting why just Moderna and not Pfizer, is it just the high dosage? I've seen very few studies that show much difference in the two when comparing heart side effects. |

HELSINKI, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Finland will pause the use of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine for men born in 1991 and later due to reports of a rare cardiovascular side effect, the institute for health and welfare said on Thursday.
Swedish and Danish health officials had announced on Wednesday afternoon they would pause the use of the Moderna vaccine for all young adults and children.
Norway already uses Pfizer’s vaccine for all children and now also recommends it for men under the age of 30.
The Nordic countries based the decision on an unpublished Nordic research study including data from Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

"It's doubtful you'll get a qualified answer here probably just more opinions based on rubbish from YouTube but there must be some sort of scientific evidence somewhere"
There is alot of scientific research, it's been out for quite awhile I've read few that showed significant differences between the two although Moderna was always slightly higher in effects.
Most of the papers said the differences was unknown but I can only guess it's the high dosage used in Moderna, I was simply wondering if anybody had read something I've not. |

Sorry, not knocking you or your question in any way but the quality of responses on such topics tends to vary between ridiculous and plain stupid.

"Yes. I have also heard about that, that they will withdraw it for the younger ones, which is good."
I don't think it's a good thing in general but in this context with this vaccine I think it's the correct thing to do until we know more about unwanted side effects. |

COPENHAGEN, Oct 8 (Reuters) - The Danish Health Agency said on Friday that it was continuing to offer Moderna's (MRNA.O) COVID-19 vaccine to under-18s, and that a statement on Wednesday suggesting a suspension had in fact been a miscommunication.
"The Danish recommendations have not been changed," the agency said.
"The Danish Health Agency continues to assess that both COVID-19 vaccines, both the one from Pfizer/BioNTech and the one from Moderna, are highly effective vaccines that have an important place in the general vaccination programme in Denmark."

. Although there are some very good responses too, which expands the chasm between the beat and worst.
This pandemic has shown the best of the medical and scientific fields, with extensive international cooperation and sharing, copious learning and adjustments as we've progressed from knowing nothing of this new virus, taking cautious adjustments, as with Moderna. The human race has never amassed so much understanding and knowledge about something, in such a small amount of time before. We've got our freedoms back in the UK, largely because of this and the investment made by millions of us. |
