If you've been positive and self isolating and you do a test which comes out negative....Can you go out in to the big wide world again?

I know someone will know the answer.

Thanks.

If you have tested positive you isolate for 10 days regardless if you test negative.

You are not supposed to retest for 90 days after a positive test anyway.

It's because you can get a false positive result x

If you've had Covid you can't do a test for 90 days. You should complete your isolation period before venturing out. Check the NHS website for rules

The remains of the virus can be detected by a PCR up to 90 days after infection, even though you are out of the infectious period.

This can lead to a PCR test registering a positive result to which you are then legally bound to starting another 10 day isolation period.

You don't want to do that.

Keep any copies of proof of positive PCR test, as you shouldn't retest you may need some evidence.

It doesn't matter if you test negative you have to isolate for the full 10 days or until you no longer have symptoms if even if it's past the 10 days if you have tested positive it is actually a legal requirement.

i cant stop laughing at this. This is just getting silly and no one's questioning it.

if you are negative, you are negative.

test again, if you are negative. test again, if you are negative. hey guess what? you are negative.

i'd personally go outside and live my life.

if you are that worried, test every day to be sure, if you are positive again, then self isolate.

i find it hilarious, upon contracting a deadly virus that we are told to isolate for only 10 days if positive.

" go to the nhs website "

" stay inside, keep isolating "

common sense has truly gone out the window during this pandemic.

Except thats not what you are meant to do.

If you test positive from a PCR test if you have no symptoms after 10 days you don't have to isolate or test again so I don't know where you got that from.

All your PCR tests show up on your medical records at your doctors.

That should make our records quite lengthy then we have done at least one PCR test every month since this pandemic started lol
