University of Oxford Study say the risks of catching Covid and suffering from blood clots is significantly greater (at least 9 times greater) than suffering from blood clots after taking the vaccine.
“Here’s how the risk of blood clots compares
Professor Aziz Sheikh, co-author on the study, said the increased risk of thrombocytopenia seen in their work is similar to other commonly used vaccines in the UK, such as the flu jab.
Researchers estimated that in 10 million people vaccinated with the AstraZeneca jab, there would be 107 additional cases of thrombocytopenia in the 28 days post-vaccination, compared with 934 in people with the virus.
The scientists found an association between those vaccinated with the Pfizer jab and an increased risk of stroke, but the risk was more than 10 times greater in those with the virus: an estimated 143 extra cases per 10 million people, compared with 1,699 cases in those with Covid-19.
The paper also said that per 10 million people jabbed with AstraZeneca, there were an estimated seven additional cases of CVST, while there were 20 in people with Covid-19. For blood clotting in a vein, they estimated 66 additional cases per 10 million people vaccinated with AstraZeneca, compared with around 12,614 in those who has contracted Covid-19.”
So when you consider not having the vaccine because you want to reduce your risk of ‘side effect’, those same side effects are much greater from Covid itself. Consider the evidence & the real risk to you of catching Covid. You are safer taking the vaccine than not. If you have underlying health problems talk it through with your GP. |

Glad you got over long Covid, it seems very grim. It is important that people realise the risk of not being vaccinated is much higher than from being vaccinated. The only way to avoid it is to life in a hazchem suite which won’t be any fun either  |

So after having coving and producing your own anti bodies to be very unlikely to catch it again you jumped at the chance to get a vaccine that may or may make no difference? |

I am double vaccinated. Unfortunately the 2nd dose has left me unable to use both my legs and don't have full use of left arm so this is why I have such a keen interest in all the details.
Has this left me an 'anti-vaxxer'? No, of course not.
Was I fully advised of all the risks? No. I was not. |

However the statement "29 million people aged 16 and over who received their first doses of either vaccination. The data was collected between December 2020 and April 2021" is exactly what I'm trying to highlight.
My issues for example only happened after the 2nd. And after the reach of this report.
Also, I'm not sure the number of vaccinated people aged say 16 to say 25 were very significant during that tie frame. Maybe none even?
What we really need is another report showing all ages from April 2021 to today. I am sure it is on its way. Will it yield the same data? I guess we will find out. |

We do need to continually look at the data and we know people who are doing this. We also need to look at the data for those that don’t get vaccinated to ensure that false claims are called out. If, and we remain incredibly skeptical, it is proven that people are safer not to have the vaccine then that should be published also.
Given that 44m people in the UK have been vaccinated & billions worldwide now, the evidence points to low levels of side effect. Clearly you sadly fit in this space and I’m sure it is of little comfort to you.
The research will improve the efficacy and safety of the vaccines and will hopefully reduce incidences like yours even lower. Hope things improve for you. |

I had an antibodies test a few months after I started feeling better. I had no antibodies. So that's why! |

I had covid just a week ago.
Thinking of starting a go fund me page to fund anti body tests weekly from about a month after getting it, till a year later or five negative tests in a row for scientific purposes only.
Tests where I live are 65 a pop available to everyone who is willing to pay the price.
I want to know:
1. How long will the tests keep coming up positive for.
2. Will there be an odd test or two coming up negative then back to positive.

Sadly our experience of this post's title is actually the exact opposite.
Being vaccinated has had a very detrimental effect on both our lives. Tom physically. We are praying and hoping not permanently.
Of course that's just our experience and our thoughts are also with people who have been badly affected by Covid too. Especially those who have lost loved ones. |

Wrong. Antibodies and T cells weaken over time. Vaccination makes a huge difference to the survival rates once reinfected, and vaccination tops up defenses, hence why we are giving third doses this autumn.
Wrong about unlikely to catch it again; vaccination and natural responses protects you WHEN you get it again, i.e. you get it but fight it off, AND whilst your in the first few days you are also contagious.
Neither natural defenses nor vaccination stops you getting C19 if you are exposed. |

Spike protein.

Not for me it wasn't. I fully regret having my 1st jab and haven't had the 2nd on advice from my doctor. It has frankly ruined my life.
I appreciate this is of no solace to the many who have lost loved ones to Covid and my thoughts are naturally with them too. And those suffering ill health from it.
But I was healthy. I took the advice. I did the right thing. And its robbed me of my health. |

It's not experimental it's properly licensed in pretty much every country around the world. It is usual practice to monitor medication once it's been licensed. There are presently no cures for covid, if you know of any then you are ahead of every doctor and scientist in the world. Basically you are quite a bit more likely to get very ill without a vaccine and a lot more likely to die without it. Plenty of evidence and stats on this thread and elsewhere. |

Yes that mild headache and temp of 39° I had for a few hours was really really scary I was ill on the Saturday a bit meh Sunday and ready to go back to work and earn money Monday unfortunately the. Law said I can’t work and the government decided as I’m not on benefits it’s tough shot about getting paid either, that loss of wages affects me for a lot lot longer than covid did, not almost a year on I still have full antibodies and am in the best shape I’ve ever been in, pretty much lost my house though so not all fun and games, sacrificing the county/work to save the sick and elderly was moronic |

It'll be a pity if when you are sick, when you are elderly, that the younger generation decide that you are disposable. I guess that your strategy would have just been to send everyone over 50 down to the dogfood factory, for recycling into useful product. |

I know plenty of people who got it, young and no comorbidities, who were really fked up.
I equally know many older people who got it and were fine.
I know LOADS of people who got it and felt shit for a week and lost their sense of smell/everything smelt like sulfur for 3-4 months afterwards.
I like my food too much and spent all my time around the sickies so i had the jabs in december.

Yes, Covid kills.. less than 1% of people who are symptomatic and 60% (Denmark study) of people are asymptomatic. So… about a Gnats cock of a chance, statistically.
Meanwhile… the CDC admits it counts deaths within 14 days of vaccination as unvaccinated covid death so vaccine caused deaths are recorded as unvaccinated covid deaths. |

I think this is what people are struggling to get thier heads around.
No, having the jab is absolutely not a guarantee that you'll not catch it. As with any vaccine, you may or will still "catch it", but the hope is that the immune system is primed to deal with it.
This puts a body in much greater standing in that hopefully, before the virus takes hold, the body is already loaded with antibodies and has a fighting chance, thus preventing delay in an immune response which is where the virus takes hold and causes more and harsher symptoms.
By responding sooner and being aware of what the virus looks like, means the outcome is a lot better should infection occur, hence lower hospital admissions and death rates even though infection is soaring well above previous lockdown numbers.
The majority of people now dying are unvaccinated as most vaccinated people catch and get over it quickly with mild or low symptoms.
Please understand that vaccines have never "stopped you catching a virus", they just give the body the right ammo to deal with it quickly, before it becomes an issue and this is exactly what COVID-19 vaccination does.
Stop you catching the virus - NO
Stop you spreading virus - NO
Quicker recovery - YES
Reduced chance hospital- YES
Reduced chance of death - YES
Claiming vaccine does not work as it fails to stop you catching it, is dangerous, misleading and false.
If you have compromised immunity then vaccine for any disease is reduced or nulled as there is no immune system to react to either vaccine or real infection.
As for clot stats, if you'd got a clot after a jab then it is highly likely catching COVID-19 would certainly have caused them and would have died anyway.
If reaction to a small amount of vaccine triggered clots then the actual virus would be a massive reaction mire than likely involving a bad outcome.
It is unfortunate, but a risk worth taking and shameful the media and others make such a big issue from it when the reality is, vaccines do work and less people will die for taking them!! |

Not for me it wasn't. I fully regret having my 1st jab and haven't had the 2nd on advice from my doctor. It has frankly ruined my life.
I appreciate this is of no solace to the many who have lost loved ones to Covid and my thoughts are naturally with them too. And those suffering ill health from it.
But I was healthy. I took the advice. I did the right thing. And its robbed me of my health. and I bet you have been in no way shape or form componsated or looked after
…& neither have the 150,000 plus who died of Covid, nor the millions with long Covid…

It's not experimental it's properly licensed in pretty much every country around the world. It is usual practice to monitor medication once it's been licensed. There are presently no cures for covid, if you know of any then you are ahead of every doctor and scientist in the world. Basically you are quite a bit more likely to get very ill without a vaccine and a lot more likely to die without it. Plenty of evidence and stats on this thread and elsewhere.
If by oroperly licenced you man under emergency legislation then yes ....(with all normal protocols not followed)....hell you cant even call it a vaccine since it is a new technology (mRNA) "

Yes that mild headache and temp of 39° I had for a few hours was really really scary I was ill on the Saturday a bit meh Sunday and ready to go back to work and earn money Monday unfortunately the. Law said I can’t work and the government decided as I’m not on benefits it’s tough shot about getting paid either, that loss of wages affects me for a lot lot longer than covid did, not almost a year on I still have full antibodies and am in the best shape I’ve ever been in, pretty much lost my house though so not all fun and games, sacrificing the county/work to save the sick and elderly was moronic
It'll be a pity if when you are sick, when you are elderly, that the younger generation decide that you are disposable. I guess that your strategy would have just been to send everyone over 50 down to the dogfood factory, for recycling into useful product."

There must come a point when people do have natural immunity to the virus but it’s never tested. |

Thinking of starting a go fund me page to fund anti body tests weekly from about a month after getting it, till a year later or five negative tests in a row for scientific purposes only.
Tests where I live are 65 a pop available to everyone who is willing to pay the price.
I want to know:
1. How long will the tests keep coming up positive for.
2. Will there be an odd test or two coming up negative then back to positive.
