"You don’t need to wait for them! You can book it at gov.uk! "
I'm not into www dots so I think I'll give it a bit longer as I think I have the virus again. When I'm feeling better I will ring up. |

You don't need to book your jab. Go to your local vaccination centre. They're doing walk-ins for both 1st and 2nd jabs. Only stipulation is at least 56 days since 1st jab and that's clearly the case for you. However GP surgeries not doing walk-ins to my knowledge |

Just seen this. Has to be 28 days from positive test before your jab. Stay well |

I'm not asking for a test this time. I've got plenty of time off work so I'm going to stay at home and get some odd jobs done.
I asked for a covid test before for myself and my parents but none of us could get them because they ran out of test kits. ![](/icons/s/neutral.gif) |

You’re not into wwe dots, but you asked the question online?
You can order a test online and get it delivered to your home we well as easily organising a second vaccine appointment. |

"Our 2nd jab dates were all given before the 1st was given?"
Different procedures throughout the country I guess. Both my parents received letters inviting them for second jabs. |

I do as little as I can online. Call me old fashioned but I like talking on the phone. |

Call 119, quick and easy and they'll sort you out with your second dose.

The delay selected between 1st and 2nd doses has an effect on the strength of the immunity that's gained. I would get things scheduled, testing and 2nd dose, at the earliest point, so that you're not sitting in limbo waiting for them to rescue you. |

They stopped sending letters in about an April or May because it just wasn't feasible for the large volumes of people and lots of people kept changing appointment times.
Just turn up to a walk in centre (search "walk in vaccine clinic in [town/city]") or phone your local council for their list of walk in centres.
Seeing as you can use Fab online though, you can book the vaccine online too. |

Is there any advantage to book it online? |

"I had my first vaccine around 3 months ago or more and they said they would send me a letter for the second one, but still haven't heard anything. "
Oh dear, I think you're going to have the first jab again because the time limit between jabs has expired... ![](/icons/s/2/eh.gif) |

You can have the two vaccinations up to six months apart |

It's just quicker and easier and you can use the online site to change an appointment if you need to. Phoning 119 will have the same outcome, but requires someone at the other end to be available to answer. No idea how busy the lines get at the moment. |
