Hi all. I hope all are well.

I’m just wondering if anyone knows how the moderna vaccine is working out.

All I ever hear about is Astra and Pfizer and how well they are working.

If anyone is in the know, please inform. Cheers and be safe

My son had it a couple of days ago. He felt "fluey and achey" the day afterwards but took paracetamol and went to work. Had a nap when he got home. Next day felt better but not quite back to normal. He is the only person I know who has had it.

Claire and I both had ours about 3 weeks ago.

Both fine just that punched arm feeling for a day

I’m wondering how well it is working so far or do they only really research after second doses?

I’m Mr Moderna too and you’re right, all we hear about in the press is the AZ and Pfizer vaccines.

I’ve had one dose also with that dead arm for a day or so, but I do hear that many Moderna users feel a bit worse after the 2nd dose, it hits you quite hard for a few days. I’ll let you know in a few weeks!

Given that it’s the same technology as Pfizer, I’m not surprised. Most comments say that the 2nd Pfizer jab is rougher than the first.

Vixen can back that up, she was under the weather for 3 days and then right as rain. So ends today’s forecast

I have a few friends that had moderna and felt pretty well apart from achey arm, just like Pfizer x

So I think it works very similarly

Manchester (she/her)

Might be helpful to look at the US rollout, because there's a lot more of it there than here

I had my first jab late April (Moderna) and had a dead arm fro 2-3 days - the injection was really high on the shoulder. It f**ing hurt!

I felt shivery/cold a few hours later and went to bed, slept fine and woke up all clear (except barely being able to lift my arm!).

2no jab in a few weeks. If the reaction is strong, take it as a good sign!

I’m having my 2nd Moderna jab next week and wondering how people have found the side effects after the second jab.

Recently had my 2nd jab. Ok on the day but following day could barely lift my arm and was completely wiped out, spent all day on the sofa.

I had my second jab a few days ago - felt exhausted for 2 days and a little achey, but otherwise all good.

I think I got off lightly. Had the normal pain in the arm but a really strange thing for me was that I had a hell of an appetite a few hours later. Was so hungry.

I’m a hefty guy but have never eaten as much as I did that night possibly in my life. At least 2 lbs of food and still felt I could keep going.

What did I eat? Kebab meat and chips with a burger. I couldn’t believe it.
