It's good to acknowledge how you are feeling and to plan your way forwards based on that. It's a tough thing and there's no need to move at the pace that others do

Take a few decisions that honour you and how you feel

It's been a mad world

Yes as it's been an eye opener to see how little regard many had for a life threatening virus makes us wonder about people's approach to sexual health.

100 percent..will be seeing friends first and foremost after lockdown ends as not seen them in over a year . After that then only if things look like they are okay again will I consider other people I haven't met before. I am hoping and optimistic the Christmas party season will be a good one this year.

It's something that's never mentioned by those who insist covid isn't a problem, unless you're in the 1%, or whatever figure they want to quote.

It obviously affects young and old, fit and less fit and they always want to ignore it, as if it's caused by something else, other than social contact that they want to have fully opened again

To argue the deaths are significant is just a fallacy. People die from many reasons such as a regular flu and vaccines....

The figures are exaggerated to sell you on the fear. It's obviously worked. News networks have been caught admitting they exaggerate the figures because covid is great for ratings. It's money money money for them and you're going along with it.

Won't be doing swingers meets for some time.

Went for a drink in a pub in town last weekend, all nice initially but as the drinks flowed and the afternoon cracked on, social distancing started to fade, masks when walking around not so rigid and to top it all I saw this.

Lady in toilet, finished but doesn't wash hands. Steps out of toilet and a sanitizer dispenser on wall in front of her, doesn't use it but puts her hands close to it and rubs furiously as she walks back to her table.

Seen it all now.

Would you care to explain the mechanism behind which DNA would be shed from someone who'd had a vaccine containing mRNA from a virus with a single stranded RNA genome?

Human cells, full of DNA, are shed from every human every day. Most of the "dust" you see floating around is human skin cells, obviously these have a nucleus and contain DNA.

The SARS-CoV-2 virus contains absolutely no DNA at all. And there's zero biological mechanism by which RNA from the vaccine could be shed from one person to another, at least not that I'm aware of.

A voice of reason and sensibility especially as the mRNA is broken down within 48hr of receiving the vaccine and is only an instruction to produce a protine, I really wish people would educate themselves better regarding this stuff rather than spouting misinformation and causing people unneeded fear

Research is open ended, without an end goal. I think what they mean is "consume and believe my stuff". Given they don't even point in the direction of their stuff most of the time, it's not easy. And possibly they need to say what they mean rather than some silly slogan.

"Anyone a little cautious after not playing for so long?"

Not really, I think some will be cautious but you have to put this into context.

The vaccination programme has dropped the death rate dramatically. Of course all deaths are personal tragedies and I would never deminish that individual and family impact.

But if you say deaths are now 20 a day (that is larger than current but I like leave a large room for error) that would be equivalent to 7200 deaths a year from Covid.

If you look at cold and winter flu deaths these are in a range from 20k-50k (take your pick of which year and survey you like).

This shows the success of the vaccine in dropping what was a bigger killer than flu to now at current rates to be far lower.

So if you would not be cautious during a normal flu season then if you have had your covid jabs there are less reasons to be worried about playing just because covid is still lurking at low levels.

The difference is is that as covid is still relatively new even these low levels are being reported as a concern, when actually it is only slightly more risky than driving a car (assuming you've had your jabs)

I think the emotional effect and the facts are not necessarily linked. It's been a difficult year or so for many, and coming out of that may come with challenges.

Explaining biology is my day job

Damn you should charge for it here you could make a mint the amount of times you would have to repeat it for some people lol

I've repeated myself so many times on here "

so say £50 a time and maybe extra £10 every time it's to the same person, it should be quite an income even weekly lol

"Not really always cautious of those who are not so hygienic

More worried about catching something from those shedding dna from having this gene altering injection

Would you care to explain the mechanism behind which DNA would be shed from someone who'd had a vaccine containing mRNA from a virus with a single stranded RNA genome?
