So a new variant has been discovered in Nepal. I have a nasty feeling that every time a new variant appears, leaving the UK, travel restrictions will tighten,ok fine ,if this is the case, then stop all but essential entry into the UK.Call me selfish but I want my holiday

Or are you saying we should stop people entering UK to prevent another lockdown which would stop you having a British holiday ?

Variants are part and parcel of virus pandemics. There have already been thousands, but most are inconsequential.

There will be hundreds of note over the years. We need to stop shitting our pants every time and crack on.

Nearer than you think

The WHO says it's not a new variant, but the "Delta" variant first recognised in India.

The worry for Nepal is that it relies on India for 50% of its medical supplies.

Are you actually for real there are more important things than having a holiday.

If being "for real ' means being ... sole career for the last 18 months for my 80 year old mother, having her dog put to sleep, carried on working a full time job with 7 days off in 18 months, then yes 'I'm for real"
