Hello all,
Who had a alcoholic drink same day after vaccination? Pretty sure, there would be plenty. If you did, did it make any difference apart from getting d*unk ? |

But they can't compare drinking vs no drinking on themselves, can they? Comparing yourself to another person doesn't work because if you take 10 people of the same age and give them the same vaccine, they'll all have slightly different experiences of side effects (including none at all).
I didn't drink after mine but that's because I don't drink really. I think I last drank alcohol in October last year, when we had a weekend away and we had fancy cocktails.... |

Trust me I have read all the stuff online. I am pretty sure. there are some people who would answer the question. What you are telling me, comparing myself to other is a common sense. I am not comparing anyone here lol Thank you. Hope you enjoyed the cocktails |

First jab I didn't have a drink and the next day I had a touch of man flu. Had my second jab on Friday and had two pints of lager at lunch time and a couple of Guinnesses in the evening and had a touch of man flu the next day. The only real effect was I had a shit round of golf as I didn't have much energy, but played much better today |

I've asked a lot of people how they were after the first dose, before giving them their second dose, and I can confirm that in a single shift, you don't get exactly the same reply twice, unless it's "I had no reaction at all".
It's fine to drink after you've had the vaccine, anyway. There's nothing you have to avoid afterwards. |

"I might hit the turps on Wednesday
* I'm informed I need to be clear - this is Australian slang and turpentine should not be ingested"
Once drank it while using it for cleaning up spilled paint on an antique table, both came up lovely |

"According to doctors you aren’t supposed to drink 2 days before and two weeks after the vaccine. I’ve followed that for both doses. Alcohol can diminish the functionality of the vaccine. "
From a local Clinical Commissioning Group website:
"While a healthy lifestyle, including drinking alcohol within the UK Chief Medical Officers’ low risk guidelines, is recommended, there is no consistent evidence that low and moderate levels of alcohol impair the immune system. However, chronic heavy alcohol abuse is linked to immune system dysfunction and may lead to a reduced response to some vaccines."
There is no evidence that suggests complete abstention from alcohol is required/beneficial. Drinking heavily is not recommended (but nor is it recommended any other time). |
