"So are shops and businesses still open? People can't travel to Leicester. "
What they did say was that people should not travel in or out of those areas but nothing stopping people shopping in the area you live.
But as usual labour jumped on and twisted the info |

I believe that there are no extra rules or restrictions for these places, the government have "requested" that people don't travel in or out of, or meet indoors in these areas.

I live in one of those "leper colonies" (well, on the outskirts actually) and work with vulnerable adults. At present, the message from my employer is to continue with all the precautions we already have at work (correct PPE, hand washing, social distancing etc) and test regularly (2 LFTs a week + 1 PCR per week). Have not heard about any shops or pubs forced to close, and we got told the movement restrictions are only guidelines and are not legally binding. Not at present at least |
