Who else hasn't **needed** to be tested?
I report everyday through Zoe app, I've had both vax jabs but ever since March 2020, I've pretty much been working from home, doing virtual events, kept distant from most people, never really mixed with people because I haven't needed to, online shopped and not had any symptoms. I've never been asked to test or had a reason to test. The pandemic since travel bans, restrictions and such has pretty much washed past me.
Am I a minority of having gone through a pandemic and not been tested? Or do I appear as an arrogant ass for not doing a test (even though I haven't had a reason to test)? |

A minority, but not necessarily arrogant.
I've tested a) because the Zoe app has told me to, b) because it was a requirement on the clinical trial I'm on, and c) now for in person volunteering with vulnerable people. But it's not much |

I would say in a minority group.. But really it depends on whether you work/live with anyone vulnerable or are aiming to travel somewhere.. If neither of these then it's unlikely you would need to take a test at the moment. |

Glad to hear it's not just me then!! Feels weird going through a pandemic, loads of people really hard hit by it but to to my lifestyle, some parts of it I feel like I've been an observer, not a participant. I'm sure in the future, people will be recalling all the swabs, and I'll be on the edge of the conversation think "nope, can't relate to that personally...". Weird perspectives. |

Same here. I guess I'm just lucky (apart from being clinically extremely vulnerable!) as I know people who were hospitalised & a couple who have died from it.

Never been tested or had any reason to, been working all through lockdown in construction, shopped in supermarkets every week had to isolate for a few days as my sister had a false positive test. I've had no symptoms or been in contact with anyone who has tested positive otherwise.
It's hard to believe that I haven't had it though! |

I tested positive in October had a mild headache, then was tested every week at work after that but now summer has started I’ve declined all fun and games quarantining in the winter but fuck wasting my summer on a none serious issue for 99% of the population |

I've been tested once. I had a few symptoms that weren't linked to covid but knew if it was, I would get paid for being off sick.
It was positive, I was a tiny bit unwell and had two weeks paid sick leave.
No other testing necessary and I can't work from home. |

I've never been tested nor would I need to as I have been careful throughout and I understand my own bodies immune system response and learned for many years I have a healthy immune system that's able to recognise and produce antibodies as a defence keeping me well throughout each winter. I am unique. As most people. |

Frontline social worker so testing twice weekly. I’d test anyway even if not work related as so many people have covid but no symptoms so feel morally obliged to test to enable the world to get back to a better place. I believe everyone should test once a week! |

Until February this year had no need to be tested until GP wanted to rule it out in my lad, at the time only he could get booked in but the centre let me do it with him as support.
We do the lft tests twice a week because of school and today did another pcr test each, as part of surge testing in our area |

I haven’t been required to test at all.
Don’t have any interaction with kids at school, work mainly alone and haven’t had contact with anyone that would have required me to take a test, and, obviously, haven’t had any symptoms.
Who thought there would come a time when it was actually beneficial being an antisocial bugger. |

I am with you on this. I also think unless someone has not left the house at all that testing at least once a week is sensible x |

Never been tested for covid, haven't needed to be. Worked all the way through it for royal mail. Only personally know 1 person who's had it who caught it from away. |

I would say in a minority group.. But really it depends on whether you work/live with anyone vulnerable or are aiming to travel somewhere.. If neither of these then it's unlikely you would need to take a test at the moment. "
Well they've done 170m tests on a country with slightly less than 70m population so... You've done well not needing one so far let's hope it stays that way. |

Feb last year had ALL the symptoms...actually diagnosed, through sputum samples. X-ray etc, with double pneumonia but not tested.... refused to go hospital against GP advice and now told almost certainly covid.
Since then, fit as a fiddle so no need to test. Mixed plenty. Wore mask when required but otherwise no shielding, met with several friends/family as normal. Now double jabbed so don't feel need to test. Do have 7 lateral flow tests in stock...may/not use em....past caring tbf. |

The Zoe app takes your health info and tracks whether or not you have or don’t have covid. It also displays the country trends and local trends. Think it also advises if you need to isolate ?? |

I posted this in another thread. Are there more than one of these type of tests? Which one is most used/in circulation?
I said...Better than nothing but it seems people have been lulled into false sense if security around these tests.

To me - and although I've looked at reliable sources, this is my bird's eye view of it and I may be wrong - PCR is gold standard and will pick up everything (nothing is perfect, etc), while LFT is "good enough" in most cases, particularly when disease prevalence is low. |

Took my first one on Friday at the hospital before visiting my mum on the haematology ward. Visitors aren’t allowed unless it’s exceptional circumstances
I am waiting to be allowed to visit her again but not sure when that will be. In the the meantime my friends are going to test beforehand if/when I see them in an indoor setting |

How they've deemed it a pandemic is beyond me. It doesn't effect 98% of the world's population. Those 2% it does effect are old or already have a weakened immune system from a on going disease . There are about 5 remedies that can eradicate covid. But are being ignored by the government and of course big pharmaceuticals. Who are making trillions out of this scam ! ?? |

The government would not be allowed to administer a vaccine for emergency use if there are medical cures.
So ivermectin and other drugs have to be suppressed.

When you use a % it can sound insignificant.
2% of 7,000,000,000 people is 140m people. Sounds pretty serious to me! Basically the whole population of UK, France and Spain. |

What are the 5 remedies that can cure covid and what evidence do you have to back up that statement.?
Secondly, have you ever seen anyone die of covid? Because whilst the elderly are nearer deaths door, they don't need to die just yet and they don't need to die a torturous, slow, painful death. |

No, we're just sick and tired of refuting utter claptrap and pointing out that not dying isn't necessarily a successful outcome from Covid infection. Plenty of previously healthy people, who had mild disease, are struggling with prolonged symptoms from the infection (long Covid). We have no idea how long this might last. We do know that for many people, having the vaccine alleviates it a bit. So yay for vaccines. |
