There's an interesting article on the BBC...
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-57039362
With Macron critical of the US and UK for banning exports of vaccines...and discussing patent waivers, with Germany (of biontech) against waiving patents as a way to increase production of vaccines.
I don't know enough about vaccine production but the map showing vaccine delivery around the world makes for stark viewing given our inability to secure our borders. |

unfortunatly there are to many people with powerfull friends making alot of money, so it wont happen for a while, ive seen this first hand with a guy who could afford to go motor racing at a high level after getting the contract for the flue jab, he went to school with a recent labour prime minister, before that contract he was pennyless, this has always been the way, why do you think people spend fortunes on sending their kids to private schools, its not for a better education, not what you know but who you know |

Unfortunately, if a country has a vaccine production facility, and they have a shortage of vaccines for themselves, it is obvious that their people would seek to impose some sort of "Charity begins at home" ideology. It's wrong, but natural behaiviour.
I don't actually remember the UK restricting any export of vaccines though.

I don't know of the UK have or not... But the EU have repeatedly stated that we have.
The EU themselves have restricted exports. I tend to agree its natural but the irony of macron and vdl calling it out is not lost when they have used the same mechanisms.
I'm also interested to understand the best method to produce more? Is is to waive patents? To licence more facilities? |

The uk have both imported and exported vaccines. It's down to orders placed with pharma companies more than anything else.
Mostly it's Macron bluster as his popularity is at rock bottom... |
