Do you do them ad hoc.?
Be better to organise a mini time slot with reserves.
I'm vaccinator..if we have left overs we have a standby list.
These should not be wasted. |

"Beginning to think we have a glut of vaccines.
Send them where they're needed..
Once you open them you only have so long. It's crazy."
Doesn't sound very organised there..these vaccines shouldn't be wasted.. |

I did two vaccine clinics last week and not one dose was wasted. On Thursday, a tiny number of spares were given to police officers on the standby list and on Sunday, one spare was given to a lady who'd queued up for ages in a walk-in queue. That's one spare out of thousands given over the day. |

Planning and careful monitoring over the day by the pharmacist or nurse supervising is how it happens.... |

We get very few no-shows but that's why we have reserve lists of those we know want to take it. They have to be able to get to the centre within half an hour of being phoned. First come, first served. |

It sounds like it's being 'organised' to be inefficient, which is a tragedy. Any 1 person who could have been vaccinated but wasn't, could be a link in a chain that harms so many.
Any person who gets infected could be the source of a new mutation that is more deadly, more infectious or capable of causing illness to a wider demographic of the population. They could be patient zero for the next deadly wave to hit the world.
I would encourage management to use their assets more intelligently. As others have said, drawing up a standby list could be a fairly simple to do activity. Key workers, family members of people in care homes etc. Just a few calls to care homes, may sow the right seeds. |

Had to throw away a few doses last week for first time in months.
Everyone in the site had already had 2nd dose.
Multiple phone calls made.
Nobody contactable in the area who needed a second dose or was wrong vaccine or too soon.

I think it's where we see the differentiation between different countries. The scale of production and size/wealth of the US. We're in a good position in the UK but not as good as they are. |

I guess it also depends on the population density of the area whether it's practicable to have a standby list of people who are sufficiently close by. Some of Kynaric's posts give the impression that they live in some kind of tiny outpost out in the wilds! |

Same at our centre plus the pharmacists only release phials when needed. No waste on our site at all |

Even easier to plan a vaccine clinic with appointments if the area is sparsely populated! |

"I work in a pharmacy the vaccine when opened only lasts so long . Nobody showing up alot going to waste."
And this level of national disorganisation is just another demonstration just how easily the Chinese will walk over America when they are ready to do so. |

possibly because its an experimental medicine (the trials end in 2023, your taking part in the stage 3 trials).
it nulifies your medical insurance (ask BUPA)
also do some checking on the Big Pharma companies history in lawsuits,
heres a quick one for Pfizer - who settled out of court $2.3 BILLION in 2009 for lying about one of their products.
https://www.nytimes.com/2009/09/03/business/03health.html
do your own reseach, make an informed choice.
PS are you aware the NHS in vaccination centres force cleaning staff to take the vaccine? the same, experimental one...
It's illegal.
They are also pushing care staff in homes for the same thing.
picking on the lowest paid , scared to loose their job.
thin end of the wedge , Forced vaccinations coming soon.
My question is this to forced vaccinations & Covid Passports/certificates.
If the vaccinated cannot contract/transmit theres no need for it.
If they CAN contract/transmit theres still no need for it.
so WHY?
Remember you tell your kids to question & learn. time the grown ups did it too. |

I dunno, China really do not have a good track record with vaccines. Many may have been vaccinnated, doesnt mean it works.
Thats why when chinese people go to get a vaccine they normally pay for the more expensive foreign vaccine if its available and if they can afford it ofcourse |
