Blood clot risk same on all vaccines

Interesting to see how this one plays out in Europe.
Oxford scientists have analysed data and results show that Pfizer and Moderna vaccines have the same blood clot risk as AZ!
In addition...your risk of a blood clot from Covid is vastly higher than the chance of a clot from the vaccines.  |

Would guess more chance of a clot from a long hall flight but there is no warning when you book that just told to wiggle you feet when seated.
No mention of aspirin before it to reduce the risk ( strange ) |

Probably true but women take the pill with a greater risk crazy.
I read the EU is going to drop AZ and Johnson vaccines they will be totally trapped in lockdown cycle for year.
Good news for us as all the vaccine we want.
I will miss Euro holidays maybe wee need to invade Spain and vaccinate the there whole population then we can have our cheap risk free holidays back.
We can attack from Gibralter getting all the nice sunny areas first

Has a link been proven yet, last I heard it was potential. In which case it is no surprise the clot risk is no different for different vaccine types. Don't need to be Oxford boffin to predict that. |

The commission isn't making any decisions, there's a regulator who I believe has said it's safe, and individual countries are implementing different policies, as is their right as being an EU member. They can authorise and purchase medicines independently |

I was on the pill and multiple other similar drugs for 23 years, I never had a blood clot so I'm happy to risk my second AZ vaccine as the risk is miniscule.
Alot of this drama was politically motivated by the EU, if people bothered to read the numbers instead of just panicking, they would see that the vaccine is far less risky than having covid. |

This may be only the start of problems
Like ive always said ypu can make a vaccine in 10 month but usually takes years to make sure its safe with all test.
.my concern is so much money and politics has gone into they will still role it out and cover up some major issues
Until some whistle blower comes out they want SILINCE |

Does anyone have any data on number of clots caused by Covid.
I have never heard Covid caused clots until clots appeared apparently caused by the vaccine.
I had the vaccine and no symptoms at all  |

You have a valid point but I don't think it's the same scientists that produced the vaccine.
Even so, the risk of clots from the vaccine is miniscule, especially when compared to other causes. |

I’ve followed this closely as I suffer clots but now am medicated. I have still had both vaccines and had AZ. Last I read 79 had reported clots of which 19 died. Sad anyone dying but a minuscule number in comparison to the millions who have had the vaccine!! |

Covid has been well known to cause significant cardiovascular complications, including blood clots in the lungs, brain (causing stroke) and other major organs. This has been known since very early in the pandemic.
Example, this article from the Heart Research Institute:
"People with coronavirus are at risk of blood clots and strokes"

CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 linked to serious leg blood clots (Source: diabetes.co.uk) ok, now let’s compare every day life, pre CVD-19 and look at strokes (source: https://www.world-heart-federation.org/resources/stroke-blood-clots/)
I have a family member that has a clot in her neck, she is 83... has had both Astra Zeneca injections and is still here... I’m a medic, I’ve had both injections and no side effects.
The point is this, that until CVD-19 came along, we.. the general public never took any notice of death rates via influenza. Equally, nobody took any notice of the general public having suffered a stroke, ischemic attack, DVT, clots resulting from diabetes. Why? Because it was never main stream news.
Now if anyone cares to research comparative data (if they are publicly available) I think the sceptics will be in for a shock as the clotting rates for ‘normal patient groups’ is far higher than the clotting as a result of the vaccines.

My best mate was in icu for 3 mths after catching covid and getting blood clots on his lungs. Still unable to walk for more thsn 5 minutes at a time and still on medication but thankfuly on the mend |
