Hypothetical - What safety procedures would / will you implement prior to a meet?
Appreciate that June 21st isn't that far away so what safely procedures might you adopt to minimize risk on a face to face sex meet?
I have heard the folllowing suggested -
All parties provided / show their vaccination cards that show both jabs have been completed.
All parties complete a 30 minute covid home test kit (the ones where you get the result at home no need for it to go a lab).
You could have a socially distances brew in the garden for the 1st 30 minutes and then once all the covid tests come back negative all head to the bedroom.
Is anyone planning this sort of set up?
Do you think going to clubs will be as specific?

None. We'll both have been fully vaccinated by then and think that a point has to come where you need to resume your life as normally as possible. We might not feel ready for this in the summer though |

I have had the first jab ans will onv have the second.
However, I have already had Covid. Having worked all through the period and inevitably caught it.
However, I had no symptoms and only know because I was tested.
I have no fear of it and am always careful not to risk being a carrier.
Not 100% foolproof, but what is ? |

"I'm not sure yet. I like the vaccine proof and testing, so may do that. "
Same here I don’t think it will be a thing forever but if you have lateral flow tests sitting in your kitchen you’d be mad not to do one wouldn’t you? |

Abstinence; until such time as I have my second jab and there are no new reported cases or deaths; and proper quarantine measures are in place.
This virus can be a killer, and long-Covid is not a desirable condition to acquire.
This is the juncture at which many people will become complacent. |

I won't be meeting until I and all family members have been fully vaccinated.
Even then, will probably stick to social meets for a while. I am in no rush. |

If I’m comfortable enough to be in close proximity with others (clubs, festivals etc) then I won’t be going anything differently other than testing myself regularly and that’s something we are used to doing anyway.
When we can go out.... I’m going out. This year has taken its toll on me and others I love, and I’m not hanging around a second more than I need to.

I've only had 1 jab, will definitely wait til I've had my second and so have those I love. I'll probably not rush into meets this summer- perhaps regular hookups with someone who isn't meeting someone else at the the too. Lateral flow testing isn't foolproof and neither are the vaccines, so I'll juggle how that's going along with keeping an eye on local infection rates |

Come the 21st June we will implement one safety procedure... We won't be meeting. Even if we had a first jab tomorrow we wouldnt have the second before 21st June, so we wouldn't consider it a wise option to meet with others. Considering our male half doesn't even have an appointment for a jab, and therefore it could conceivably be mid May before he gets it, that means the second jab might materialize for the last week in July. At that time we might change our minds, but right now the thought of long covid for the next 20 years does not appeal. |

Nothing different. I intend to live my life.
As soon as I can I'll be on a night out with friends. And yes I'll hug them.
When it comes to meets, I don't really meet new people.
And actually if a certain someone was available now I'd not think twice.
We have to live, no matter how many skies have fallen. |

Like the OP I'll be being very careful. Proff of vaccine and lateral flow tests done before play.
Fingers crossed we will get to a point where non of that's needed... But till then stay safe you sexy fabbers xx |

So no precautions due to vaccination but you may not not feel ready to meet this summer? So when is the 'point' when you feel you can resume your life as normally as poss? |

No " new reported cases"? You are gonna be waiting a very long time - maybe decades! Covid is with us forever |

Well....we never do sex meets so will arrange meets in a public place and seems a lot of "Hoops" to jump through just to get laid though ?? but strange times demand stranger solutions ?? and up to each individual on how they want to "Play" or set up "Meets" or even "Parties/Socials" no right or wrong way as long as everyone is happy and singing from the same hymn sheet ...xx ![](/icons/s/cool.gif) |

Lots of interesting replies thanks you.
We personally haven't decided exactly what we will do yet.
We have a new asymtomatic test centre now in the library near my work. We are encouraged to use it twice a week. Every time you go now you get issued 2 home test packs which take 30 mins but the fact you get the results there and then (no need to be sent to a lab) is very handy.
Someone also said every UK adult can now order 2 of these rapid home tests on line every week?
EDIT I've just checked online and A pack of tests contains 7 tests. You can order one pack per household each day!
https://www.gov.uk/order-coronavirus-rapid-lateral-flow-tests
The only thing me and K have agreedi is we will wait until the swinging clubs have reopened fully. We will follow what ever the club required of us be it proof of vaccination and / or covid testing.
As many have said on this thread very much intend to getting back on living a full life again.
