Anyone else of 58 years or more not had the jab yet? Was offered jab 3 weeks ago, for 12th April. That's a long frustrating wait! Especially seeing that we are lagging behind up here in Scotland....everyone over 50 I know in England has been vaccinated weeks ago. Any other people having the same experience?

X

I'm sorry you haven't been jabbed yet.

I'm a long way down, but I'm youngish.

Good point. Imagine if we’d not left Europe

Was the target not mid April for people in their 50s?

85% of 55-59 year olds in Scotland have had at least 1 jab, so you're not the only one x

Can't find how many in their 50s in England have had it, if you wanted to compare it. On 1st April there was someting in the news that all people in their 50s can book their appointment, so doubt they've done them all x

Was it from the Gov or your Doctor?

I had a text from the government for my jabs and booked them but had to wait 3 weeks and closest to me was 30 miles away but 3 days later I got a text from my doctors and looked and booked it near me for within 3 days

So cancelled the other vaccinations

I should add though to be fair. I'm 41 and had both jabs because of my job. They was quick to get me done. I had both 26 days apart

all loved up

We have begun on the over 45s at the vaccine centres in Derbyshire.

Anyone over 50 has been told to book theirs if they haven't had their invites.

It’s in the NHS stats, at present it is about 83% of the 50-54 group that have had their first jab, two regions are at 77%. 55-59 is running a bit higher at 91%.

I suspect supply is the issue now... Only 300k jabs today...i think they said it would slow down in April due to supply constraints.

Looks like people under 50 might have to wait a few months to get their jab due to these shortages. Looking at other countries we're doing pretty good though. As long as all high risk groups are vaccinated and hospitals aren't filled up with covid patients, it's onwards and upwards imo x

You don't have to wait for a invite. You can fill it on the NHS website and book it in. As long as your in the requirements you can book.

It seems Scotland is several weeks behind. Only possible here to book a jab if over 65 atm. Big announcements by NHS didnt apply to Scotland.

I had my first on the first of March and I'm due my second on 20th April. I believe there are some hold-ups with 5 million doses expected from the Serum Institute of India who have run into some production/distribution problems.

Anyone in England who is over 50 who wanted the jab should have had it by now, all of our friends have had theirs and most now have appointments for the second

I've not had mine yet. First jab is in kelso on 12th April. I'm 56 yes old. Scotland is way behind England. What worse is our local centre was empty 2 weeks ago, with loads of vaccines sitting on trays waiting to be used.

Sturgeon hasn't exactly had her finger on the button lately, maybe she had other things on her mind. Only thing Welsh assembly have done okay is the vaccines but still a long way to go.
