Took 1 year to investigate the origins
The report is co-authored by scientists in Beijing

I will reserve my initial judgement until I either read the Executive Summary when released, or listen to authoritative commentators such as Channel 4 News.
I was reading about the potentiality for a global pandemic with enzootic origins for several years before Covid-19 first emerged in Wuhan. It came as no surprise to me; lessons need to be learned prior to the next inevitable pandemic. |

I think its a reasonable conclusion, based on the available evidence and the known high level risks that we create, such as wild habitat destruction for humanity habitation in proximity to wildlife we're not used to. The WHO opeerates on a small budget and, during this pandemic, is better focused on facilitating our way out of it, as it remains a global problem, not a local one. |

We could believe any of those scenarios, be it a natural transfer from animals to humans or a lab based accident.. one thing we believe is the Chinese government is the biggest threat to the world at the moment as far as we're concerned. |

This whole pandemic has been a case of misinformation. The "leak" is no different. The issue is spreading the misinformation. |

It leaked from a lab. What are the chances that a bat virus happens to emerge in one of the only cities in the world that studies bat viruses?
And for it to supposedly happen through a long chain of farmed animals and packaged food... makes no sense. Why didn’t it spread to other cities that the animals and food were distributed to? |

So they were quite happy to allow tens of thousands of visitors to go to China, including Wuhan, for the Chinese new year celebrations at the end of January 2020 and then go home again, guaranteeing the spread of the virus worldwide. |

That is very true... And more fool us we were still taking flights from China, and Italy, and Switzerland and Spain and.... What? Till September nearly a year later? Not saying the fact we were fucking stupid excuses the Chinese complicity spreading it... But... |

An internal travel ban came into place in the Hubei province (where Wuhan is located) on 23rd Jan 2020. Lunar New Year was 31st Jan. So travel was not permitted in/out of Wuhan for Lunar New Year 2020, although many people do choose to travel earlier and so travelled before the ban.
I'm not suggesting that the travel ban shouldn't have been sooner, but it's correct to say the Chinese authorities did ban travel, they did ban official New Year celebrations in Wuhan and other cities in Hubei, make recommendations to stay put, social distancing, mask wearing etc. Horse stable door situation by then I agree though.

China cannot be trusted. Hong Kong, Myanmar,North Korea, Virus, Economy they are involved extensively.
They are out to dominate the world and when they fall out with Russia over Myanmar all hell will break loose.
The WHO investigation was a total waste of time. |
