Really don't care. I had AZ but I really am not concerned which one I have as long as I have it. |

I would have taken what was available, As it was I was given the Pfizer one.
Get my second one this week exactly 12 weeks from the first one.
For reasons not known to me my injections have been and will be at the local General Hospital. |

Moderna sounds like a chrome and glass table that would be bought at Ikea... |

Apparently it's Mode-RNA.
Wouldn't it be Mudernä though? |

I could chose (my work crosses different hospital sites and each hospital had a different vaccine. I could chose which site therefore choosing vaccine) and chose Pfizer after my research and after effects meant to be lesser had you had covid previously.
To be fair I’d have had any though! |

As some scientist said "the best vaccine is the one in your arm!"
I has AstraZenica with a sore arm, shivery cold feeling after a day for about a day. Very happy with that, looking foreward to june and the second shot! |

Moderna isn't widely available until mid April in the UK.
I'm very happy with the vaccine i had (Phizer) but I would have happily had whatever was offered. |

I received the Pfizer vaccine a couple of weeks ago, but would have been happy to have been given any of them.
Some citizens on this planet may have to wait years; the rollout in Ireland (Republic of) has been very slow. North of the border, vaccinations are progressing well, thanks to the preemptive actions of Boris and his officials. |

The UK has offered Republic of Ireland 3.7 million vaccines a couple of days ago so hopefully that will help with the rollout. |

There is no mention of this (offer, and acceptance) on recent RTE News reports, just news after further days, reductions in supplies from Europe and missed deadlines. Much is promised, but much fewer vaccinations are being rolled out.
This slow delivery may permit mutations to arise and proliferate, thereby potentially jeopardising the great work being done north of the border.

"My mum chose her vaccine, after finding out about the side effects of the AstraZeneca vaccine."
It's interesting. Some of my family are due their vaccine anytime (medical vulnerability, Australia, slower start to rollout, flood delay) and the advice they're getting is Oxford over Pfizer. |

I’ve had both jabs now with no side effects at all and had the Oxford AZ which was always my preferred choice after the research I’d done with regards my one health conditions and which was best for me however had I have got to the site and they were only offering Pfizer I wouldn’t have turned it down!! |

It has been reported that for those clinically vulnerable that the Oxford has a better outcome and was what I had found through all the research I did and my consultant and GP also said was the safer option too |

Buy British! I've had and I'd still go with the OAZ. Seriously though, the Pfizer and Moderna ones are kind of the cooler tech, but the Pfizer one is possibly not the best choice if you've had an episode of anaphylaxis (not sure if the same is true of the Moderna one) and my local mass vaccination centre will send you away if they think there's a risk of a reaction, irrespective of the vaccine (they're just being abundantly cautious and prefer patients to be vaccinated in a controlled environment at the local hospital where a supply of OAZ can be guaranteed for that reason). The Novavax one is also quite innovative from a technological point of view. Wouldn't mind that as my booster in the autumn, but I shouldn't really be geeking out about it!! Just grateful that I've had it and the people involved in the whole process from design, manufacture all the way through to administering the jabs are nothing short of fucking awesome! |

Yes and I think they planning on using that for the boosters.
I know not much has been said about the boosters at the moment but is that likely to be everyone in the autumn or just the most vulnerable do we know? |

I don't know. I suppose it'll depend on the data re various vaccines, efficacy against variants, antibodies waning, etc.
Plus logistics and community prevalence, I suppose. |

Not quite. Apparently the nasty nasty vaccinators are getting around the removal in mercury by using lipid nanoparticles which cause neural inflammation and carry on the dastardly work that our lord and saviour Wakefield exposed! A virologist said it was so!

The truthiness of the sciency science is like RNA. So delicate it must be handled like an overindulged ego.

The science of all of the vaccines is cool and I'm pleased that finally, the really important work done by life scientists of various disciplines is really being seen by the population at large, most of whom never think about why we, in general, have such low prevalence of serious infectious disease in this country. |
