Yes
I was in a supermarket and there was an announcement
Nearly everyone paused apart from three teenage girls and an old couple

My pan banging neighbour types were out in force, treating it like a social event.
Other street was better. Some were silent, some had put candles on the footpath. The moon came out too as though in support. |

"Sheeple"
It's strange, but as I was lighting the candle last night in remembrance of the 3 otherwise fit and healthy family members I've lost to Covid in the pandemic, and the thousands of others that have been lost... The word 'Sheeple' wasn't even in my mind? |

For having a bit of empathy for people who died a horrible death , many without having their loved ones next to them? In which case all I will say is baaaaaaa
Whatever people think of what has and is going on since this time last year, there are some people who have died. As this thread was to discuss if people stood still for a minute to reflect, maybe leave the thread alone if you want to spoil that |

I did it, without much thought, but when i went out to my xar to get things out of it, turned back to my front door and looked at the lamp i put out.. Yes i did reflect on those and also their families and friends, and also those left disabled by long covid. |

Little evidence where we live but we put a candle in our window in solidarity for everyone affected and grieving. Mr S lost his mother to covid in December. |
