Five pubs in my home town shutting up shop because of the pandemic...very sad.

It is sad.

One in my home town is boarded up and has been sold to build apartments.

It's been there since the 70s

It was the hub of the whole village.

It's very sad to see places go, they are part of the landscape and part of the local history. More importantly they are somebody's life, their livelihood and their aspirations.

Village i grew up in had four pubs all were closed knocked down and flats built way before covid came along.town i now live in has lost two so far this year

We only had one pub in our village and that's gone. We have no corner shop either. 3 if my favourite pubs and 4 of my favourite independent shops have also closed for good.
