I honestly would rather have had these short symtoms from the jab than had Covid and it's remnants of problems for 2 weeks now. Just got a letter for my jab and can't have it until 28 days after testing positive. |

People that know they have had covid get a reaction. People that know they have not had covid do not get a reaction. Therefore, a reaction is acting like an antibody test for about 90% of the time. So if you are unsure whether you have had Covid, the reaction to the vaccine, lets you know.
Think of it this way: You get the Vaccine and the body detects the invader. It either goes into panic mode and builds an army to fight the invader (you have not had covid) or the body thinks you again and deploys an existing army it has in reserve, build starting to build an even bigger army. That deployment is what makes you feel crap for 24-48 hours.
This effect is more noticeable with the astra vaccine. That is not because of the vaccine but how it has been used. The Phizer vaccine was used first and given mainly to old people who have not had covid (they are alive) so therefore little reaction. The astra vaccine is about 70 to 80% of the doses used. It is going to wider populations. Everyone I know that had covid has had a reaction. But it is also giving a reaction to those that probably had an Asystomatic form of covid. And then about 60 to 70% of those getting Astra have no reaction and therefore have not had any covid |

Ooh bad idea. It can dampen your immune system and reduce the effectiveness of the vaccine. We’re advised not to drink 2 days before the vaccine and for 2 weeks after. |

"No problem at all for me and looking forward to getting the second one "
Exact this...no reaction whatsoever. Lucky as 2 days later Zena punched me exactly where I had my jab.... |

Pfizer, felt like I'd d*unk a litre of vodka that had been spiked.
Saw black spots before my eyes. Staggered home nearly falling over ( 20 min walk) got home had the munchies.
Ate then collapsed and slept for 4 hours. My niece had exactly the same reaction.
2 days later had flu like symptoms but they went within 24 hrs. |

I see, there is, a report that Denmark are suspending the use of the oxford vaccine for 14 days as they have found cases of blood clotting occurring. They claim a thorough investigation is now needed because, of this serious side effect. Other European countries are now considering doing the same. I don't know how, true this is. I had the pfizer vaccine and I had no problems at all with it. No side effects, nothing |

Funny how we are not seeing this... Not seen in clinical trials either. No wonder the EU is lagging behind vaccination delivery... |

Yes a strange one that innit! We have had no cases like that in the U.K. or any of the trials but Denmark did
Let the EU do what they think is best for them as long as the U.K. keep on going
Hospitals filing up to bursting in Italy I wonder where next ?
Of corse they had to specifically mention the British version |

A useful website to read is "Science media centre" which has an article with the title below today:
expert reaction to reports that Denmark has paused vaccination with the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine as a precaution after some reports of blood clots |

a quandary, could you change my mind? |
Headache
Muscles ache like mad
And I can't focus.
Its all in a days work
Havn't had the vaccine yet so God knows what I'll be like. But seriously we all know are bodies, we all react and cope with things to a greater or lesser extent. One man's 'ouchie' is another man's its been cut off.
It is interesting reading through all these threads and peoples symptoms or lack of after. Just a thought if you get heavier symptoms from the jab is that because your body is working harder to sort out the status quo? And does that mean you will end up with more antibodies to fight the virus afterwards? |
