Why do you wear yours...
Because your told too?
To protect yourself?
To protect others?
For the greater good?
Hiding a cold sore?
Robbing a bank?
It's a bit kinky? |

For the protection of others.
For the protection of myself.
Because it helps keep my face warm in the cold.
So I can feel better about when I can't be bothered to put make up on.
So I can yawn without covering my mouth.
Because it has a cool pattern.

I only wear a face covering (rarely a disposable mask, usually single ply snood/buff) where legally required to and only because I'm legally required to. It's really not difficult to keep socially distanced from others otherwise. |

"I haven't as yet been in a situation where I have needed to wear a face mask. "
Take it you haven't been in a shop at all then or any hospital or indoor setting.. or left the house really.
I wear one to protect others and myself. At work I have no choice. I'm often one of those that wears one while in the car by myself as if I'm picking someone up I have to put my mask on before I get in the car and not take it off till I get back out |

What is the difference between legislation and law?"
It allows the petulant and picky to stomp their pretty little feet whilst the old bill issue them a fine for being selfish?
As they spout some inane nonsensical piffle they read on the book of face?

According to the Parliamentary glossary they're basically interchangeable for our purposes.

...and actually technically you are wrong, since transmission is partly by touch, the more often you touch your face &/or mask the more likely you are to transmit, ergo the less often, by not taking mask on & off...you work it out. |

Imagine someone does a wet fart.
Bare bum in front of your face and you are getting poo particles all over your mush.
If you're wearing a face mask, you are still getting poo particles all over your coupon but not in your mouth.
If they wear jeans and you wear a facemask there will be no poo particles on your face after they guff.
I can simplify further if you don't understand |

I'm not against masks, but I do believe they are largely ineffective in the way that they are used by the general public, due to poor hygiene, poor quality materials and excessive risk taking due to the false belief they are fully protected. Also wearing it on your chin.
Masks should work brilliantly in theory but I honestly believe they could be contributing to the spread due the number of people who touch all sorts and then touch the inside of their masks alongside those who keep the same filthy mask for months in their pockets. I've sen people wipe down their trolley handle with their mask and then wear said mask.
I have no proof by the way and it's just a gut feeling, so hopefully I'm spectacularly wrong.

Worn because I have to. Having done my face fit tests for working in hazardous atmospheres I know wthe masks that are being used are not fit for purpose. The minimum mask that's needed for this type of thing has to have a rubber seal round your face. |

I have to wear one for work and I also wear one when required to protect vulnerable people. If you don’t really think that masks make much difference then it would be nice to see if your opinion differed if you were in my operating theatre and I couldn’t be arsed to put my mask on during the procedure. |

Are you failing to understand why I have to keep my mask on when I'm driving patients to and from places. Its policy and one I've adhered to while being a volunteer.
Its about protecting myself, those I pick up, and my children I go home To. When wearing a mask properly, it means touching it as little as possible. So till I have a chance to properly wash my hands etc... its hardly hard to understand... |

I found a surprise benefit on frosty mornings when my asthma would usually be bad. The mask warms up the air before I breathe it in and my lungs don't go haywire. I think it's something that I'll keep wearing on cold mornings even after the masks cease to be mandatory. |
