I'm no scientist but I found this article very informative. It explains why it is that having high infection rates for long periods of time is so very very dangerous. I can well remember on these threads lots of folks stating that infection rates didn't matter, it was only death rates but.... Have a read of I'm allowed to post a link to wired in here..not a medical journal admittedly but quoting from strong sources.
