It's easy to pick some thing that you want to be true, like tooth fairies, Santa or things we're biased towards.
Obviously with Chinese government presence and months for them to prepare, it wasn't going to be like CSI going in, immediately after a 999 call.
We don't need blame but understanding of the sources is a great thing for our preparation for further epidemics, which will definitely come.
There's no evidence seemingly still for anything connected to human involvement, apart from potential early suppressed data, which is standard in China.
We're better focusing on how we get out of the situation now and UK readiness for the next time, whilst we invest better in our health service |

If food hygene was the issue this virus would have emerged a long time before now. Street markets in the 70`s were godawful in South America, Vietnam, China and India.

Let’s apply some common sense here... The WHO are majorly funded by China (probably the one and only issue raised by Trump I agree with). An investigation a year after the event was not going to discover anything the Chinese Govt didn’t want it to find! The WHO investigation is a whitewash and China are on a PR trip as the world points fingers. China can never admit any form of liability and risk becoming a pariah state.

The 54 days suppression of info and not warning the World is unforgivable but I would say the domestic response to contain it was very thorough (but obviously too late as Covid had already left China). We all looked on in horror at the time with their draconian complete closure of Wuhan but now it would appear a shorter stricter lockdown IS the way to sufficiently stop the virus spreading. |

If this shipment was only landed at Wuhan & went nowhere else then that is surely even simpler to trace.

How about wanting the notoriety of being the person who got to the bottom of the pandemic origins? That person might be seeking fame and glory.
