"What are the temperature requirements for this vaccine ?"

We expect the product to be viable a minimum of six months at 2º to 8º C, and at least 24 hours at room temperature,” Novavax spokesperson Edna Kaplan said.

"Great news. Availability from later in the year "

Silly question but don't we already have enough of the other 2 vaccines on order to give everyone one their first and second dose.

I think some governments over ordered in case one or another vaccine didn't pass its trial. Given supply issues it might be a good thing anyway.

We don't know how long immunity will last. It's could be a situation where we all need another shot to boost immunity going into next winter.

They also didn't know which vaccines would actually work when making the orders.

Pretty sure they have said any spares will be donated to third world countries too.

This is what I think I have a problem with its is if we have spares.

I see how its ethical So which countries to be able to buy our multiple different vaccines and hegde our bets.

Some poor countries have only received 25 vaccines and I think that is disgusting.

Yes we need to have enough to vaccinate our population but we are not protected here until everywhere is protected by the vaccine.

the land of saints & sinners

The UK government have ordered enough vaccines to inoculate over 198 million people from 7 different manufacturers that’s nearly 3 times the current population of the UK.

Considering that none of the ordered vaccines have yet been licensed to be used on under 16’s.

That’s a lot of spare vaccines.

Or it is forward thinking if this turns into an annual vaccine. Too many unknowns still to be answered.

I also see it that if we have ordered way to many, they will use this surplus to assist the poorer countries under the covax agreement
