That boy is playing out during lockdown again! Well he's got learning difficulties and many other problems you can't see, he can't be kept indoors for his own safety and for the mental wellbeing of his mother and himself he needs that time outside.
See that man who drove a hour for a pit stop coffee. Not essential? Disgusting rule breaker? He just lost his mother and just needed to take a hour out when he cannot see a single friend or family member in his darkest hour.
That woman who's taken her kids in the supermarket 4 squealing kids she can't control all under 5! Is she trying to risk her kids? What is she thinking? That woman is a single mother and no other choice as able people have taken all the home delivery slots and her husband left them for dust 6 months ago..
Those 2 in the park again! They're not in the same house! The woman on the right tried to take her own life this year and the one on the left is the only face she's seen this year and that face is the one stopping her try again to leave this earth..
He's out working, he's not an essential worker! He should be home? That man is a self employed single dad. He can't claim, he doesn't qualify for the government help schemes. He has no choice to continue his work to keep his roof and feed his child.
"That woman's out all the time, never in the house, I'm going to report her" That woman finds every excuse to leave the house to escape her abusive boyfriend who's started beating her senseless after sinking into a vicious circle of drinking after loosing his job due to lockdown.

And yet, when it’s said that obesity has played a huge part in deaths due to covid in the UK, the pitchforks come out. 
Responsibility is not just staying home. Responsibility also means keeping as healthy and fit as you can to have the best chances of recovering if you catch the virus regardless of all the “staying home” and “strict measures” (as some people have claimed).
I was obese for many years, so I know what I’m talking about. |

Does the fact that your own life is going badly give you the right to endanger other people's lives? Covid is not a human being that can be reasoned with - it's a cold, unsympathetic, remorseless killer. Fully understanding that will aid in its eradication. |

no actually all of those things would mean you could do what's said. I've just had to help someone arrange to travel 150miles to be with a family member who needs support. It falls under the mental health exclusion from the lack of travelling.
We have actually managed to get them picked up in a car to save them going on public transport which would have been more risky.

Yes there is the inconsistencies in people's posts.
I've seen people on one post bashing one group of people and then on another defending somebody else is right to do something else.
There are exemptions to every rule because everyone has their own circumstances and thats fine but what I have a problem with is people who say it's OK to do this because I have this reason but it is not OK for that person to do that. |

there is nothing on that list not allowed except the guy driving for an hour (unless he was driving in circles i would assume 30 mins each way took him more further than local/ 5 miles depending on each regions rules) , and the only one in the list that is allowable now but wasn’t in lockdown 1 is the support bubble friend
it is possible to have empathy and acknowledge people have personal circumstances and also acknowledge that mobility data proves that we don’t have the same level of compliance with the spirit of lockdown that we had before (i don’t mean compliance with the letter of the law i mean compliance with being asked to stay home wherever possible)
they are not mutually exclusive concepts and focussing on only one while pretending the other doesn’t exist helps nobody and brings about no solutions

Alas many can't or won't see what is really happening behind closed doors and they see some people outside and then they go outside just because they are, others will chunter behind their nets, Doris down the road is absolutely petrified to even open her door as she is now agoraphobic from shielding for a year, the vulnerable kids o the street that cannot escape their prison, the sad thing is some have lost our sense of community in this pandemic, a every man for himself time when we should be thinking about others |
