Couldn’t believe what occurred today
Took two DhM pillows wrapped up to a house today in a village called Adforton, walked to front door, the occupants could see me and went to front door, as I put parcels down they opened it, so I stretched and put them just inside the door.. “ ooh should say I have covid”she tells me... no fucking mask on or anything, why open the fucking door I think???
So I looked at her not happy, said thanks and walked away...
what is wrong with people???
Should I be concerned??

Your chances of catching Covid through such a brief encounter are minimal. However, they should have either wait for you to step back and then open the door or just acknowledge the parcel through closed door. |

I was driving past our local testing centre when a car pulled out in front of me and then proceeded to blow a huge lung full of vape out his open window which in turn filled my car up with a raspberry smell. I’m sure it’s unlikely that anything will occur from this but it’s so frustrating that people don’t think.
Side note when driving past a testing centre keep your windows up and give plenty of room |

You should be ok.......limited contact, but just be aware of your condition over the next few days.
Yes, its fucking annoying when things like this happen. I am currently isolating due to contracting covid, and we have already put a big notice on our front door saying so. Even so, we have had 2 parcel deliveries today where they knocked on the door and WAITED to hand it over. So responsibility needs to come from both sides. |

At least they were honest
I work in care. Every time I walk in the door I ask certain questions to risk assess covid.
Last week I was told the client had tested negative and been nowhere since, that no one had visited. This should mean I'm fairly safe to be there.
Nope. I have been lied to. I have covid. Its the only place I could have caught it. The client was coughing.
Yes I was in ppe, but 12 hours in a flat, in full ppe isn't actually practical. You need to take it off at some stage to actually drink and eat. I did this in the hallway of the flat. Was out there a few minutes every few hours.
Had they been honest, I wouldnt have been there to be at risk |

Do you clean and disinfect everything you get delivered
Do you change and wash you clothes every time you leave the house and return
Some people don’t need wear mask if got health issue
That’s only some of rules people meant to follow
Don’t think you could of caught covid |

I'd guess it's a case of if he can smell the raspberry then he is breathing in vapour and molecules that has just been expended from another person's lungs. |

Yes, and if the person hadn't been vaping he would have still breathed in the same air, just not smelling of raspberry, and been none the wiser.

It’s common knowledge that a smoker takes in deeper and longer breaths and therefore the particles travel further. And the breath has been deeper inside the lungs.
And like I put on my post yes I will keep my window closed but I’m Pretty sure anyone that gets a mouthful of vape or smoke anywhere now will also feel the same way though. |

I would imagine that most serious smokers have reduced lung capacity but I realise that they might want to drag more of the stuff in for maximum enjoyment (sic).
The most significant aspect of the above post is the way in which the visible nature of the vape fumes demonstrates just how far exhaled breath travels.
Somewhat frightening in the present circumstance.
It would be an interesting experiment for someone to exhale vape through a mask and we could then see if it gets confined more locally to the person exhaling.
'As a side note' to testing centres, until this minute I thought you were referring to MoT tests or driving tests!
I've no desire to go anywhere near a covid testing centre. |
