Because that's what the app has told him I presume.
It may mean that he was in contact 4 days ago but only just been registered as a positive case |

If they follow their own rule yes they should ( but as we know they don't, just impose them on us)"
That isn't their rules.
You only have to self isolate if you have tested positive or been in close contact with somebody who Has tested positive.
You don't have to self isolate just because you have come into contact with someone who has come into contact with someone who has tested positive for covid. |

I am going with the premise that this government are a bunch of inadequate imposter and I don't believe a word that comes out of this lot. So yes I will listen to professionals, of whom there are lots of on television and not all of whom I think that are in direct dialogue with that wankhead... |

I definitely agree with you there. However, it would be irresponsible of me not to mention that the government north of the border are just as incompetent.
They have absolutely ensured we remember the trainspotting ‘it’s shite being Scottish’ line with the volume at 10! |

I agree that wee Krankie has not done great on this either, but who's scoring points on people's lives!! UK government has presided over the worst covid record in the world. THE WHOLE WORLD. And that coming from an island, if it wasn't so tragic it would be laughable. Hopefully the virus rollout halts the NHS being overwhelmed and people losing their li, because if it doesn't with this government in charge we are all fucked, economically we are fucked for decades to come, quality of life has all but disappeared , children's schooling is gubbed, young people's gaining any sort of decent employment has hit the skids.. Sorry for the bleak picture but if this vaccine doesn't work. Under this government we are fucked |

Mat Hancock has one of those smirking expressions you Just want to hit  he just comes across as smarmy.
Now he is all about “oh look at me I’m doing the right thing” so should everyone else, thing is he will have a few days at his home lose no money suffer no hardship unlike 1000’s of people who will lose out  |

Correct! I’m surprised people are still unaware of the rules.
You don’t need to isolate for 3rd party contact, just direct contact. And from te day of contact, not from the day of finding out.

Because there’s been a break since he had it and rules state even if you’ve had it you still need to isolate if you’ve had contact with an infected person. Plus there’s no proof you can’t get it twice yet. And he could be carrying it from the infected person and could transmit it to others who haven’t had it. Isolation is for the safety of others, not him personally.
