Just seen this article on the BBC website.
It's a tad misleading.
There are more people infected and as a small number of young always got sick, higher numbers of infection means more younger getting sick.
The article then goes on to say
"But the overall pattern of those at risk of becoming seriously ill or dying has not changed significantly"
So basically nothing has changed in terms of the chance of young becoming sick if infected. |
