I don't want to be rude Op but I would use your status to disagree.
Those figures don't add up, that means vaccinating 10 million people a month.
How will the logistics, ie the production, supplies and enough people to administer that cope with that amount? |

Mid July 2022 could see all adults 'offered' I could believe.
I noticed the government specifically said by end of Feb all 70 & over will have been 'offered' the jab, not given the jab.
That means as long as the computers have sent letters offering the jabs, that target is reached. Irrelevant that post loose thousands of letters every week, that people over 70 struggle to access the online booking system, that people decline the jab. Offering something is very different to me than doing something. |

It’s all telephone call by us, not by letter or going onto a booking system yourself, your GP rings with an offered appointment date and time, usually just short of a weeks notice. |

Does it make any difference? The way this piece of shit is mutating we will need to be vaccinated every year!
How will this happen if it’s a epic task this year then surly next year it will be the same epic task! And so on or am I missing something?
This is what worries me as if the mutations make the vaccinations rendered useless then we will need to keep having new vaccinations or new lockdowns or new boarder controls.
How does it actually end? |

Getting the virus and it being in the community isn't necessarily an issue.
Getting seriously sick from the virus and needing hospital treatment is.
I would hope that even if it is an annual vaccine it will offer some protection in the same way the flu vaccine does. |

I think they will give up at age 60 and claim below that is fit enough to fight it of naturally same as they do with the flue the cost of vaccinating the whole country every year would bankrupt them. |

NHS England sent out 130,000 letters this week inviting over 80s to make appointments at vaccination supercentres. They are sending out another 400,000 letters shortly |

no it doesnt it was made quiet clear, offered the jab means there is one waiting for them if they care to take it as its not compulsory thats why they say offered. |

Im 70 this year, an received a letter today dated 15th Nov 2020.Say I was the book for my flu by the end of Nov 2020.So not holding my breath for getting a covid19 jab anytime soon.

This year if you go in a chemist they will do them for free if your over 50, no need to wait to hear from your GP. |

We have already as a nation ordered more vaccine than we have population - so it’s more an issue of pace
We’re currently doing 2 million a week (over 300k a day) - so you can do the maths for how long that would take, but, once the deaths and admissions slow right down will the incentive to carry on at this rate continue? |

I think the cost of vaccinating the population is negligible to the cost of the economy, the furlough, the lockdown etc |

I saw this story on Sky News last night.
There was a document released by the Scottish government that showed their vaccination expectations based on supply and delivery.
The Sky News stats man used this formula and applied it to England.
However, he said to take this with a pinch of salt as there are unknown variables, such as, future manufacturing, delivery, administration of it etc. |

The BBC’s take on likelihood of who / when, different reading
- vaccinate every care home resident by the end of January
- everyone over 70, NHS frontline staff, care workers and anyone who is clinically extremely vulnerable by mid-February
- the rest of the priority groups and over 50s after that, possibly by May
The second phase of vaccination will focus on the rest of the population, mainly the under-50s, who are much less likely to be ill with Covid-19.
Teachers, transport workers and the military could be prioritised at that point, but more data on how well the vaccines are working will be needed before that decision is made.
