"Wear a mask when answering the door to a delivery person?
It occurred to me this morning after taking a delivery from the butcher that maybe I should. He was wearing one to protect me."
All my delivery’s have been contact free... left on the floor and them stepping away whilst you pick it up. None have been within 2m of the door |

Any parcel deliveries we get the person knocks and the door outs the parcel on a short walk we have next to the door then walks away to a safe distance and waits for an answer so need for us to wear a mask.

All my deliveries are to my safe place - it’s a large plastic garden box meant for storing outdoor cushions in.
That way we don’t have to meet and parcels don’t get wet if raining. |

I would not wear one, for the same reason that I do not wear one when walking on the street. The fleeting contact if you happen to pass a stranger is not considered serious by the government and I would expect the same for someone leaving a delivery at the door. |

our delivery drivers usually leave things on the doorstep but the butcher waited and then picked it up off the doorstep to hand to me. I had just passed him cash at arms length. I just thought as he had the courtesy to wear a mask for my safety I should have worn one for his.
I might write a book on mask etiquette  |

Any deliveries I've had, have knocked and gone to the end of the drive to make sure I pick up my parcel, so I don't wear a mask. My little dad makes me laugh , he wears a mask to go to his recycling bin in case the neighbours are in their garden  |

I've had to tell my mum and dad that they don't need to wear masks when they're alone in the house together. |

Haha who does that all the drive throughs i have been to for probably the last 4months and I go a lot for coffee have a fully perspeex window with a tiny little hole which they slide the food through on to a shelf which you then reach out from your car to pick off the shelf don't go any where near them and for paying there is a little tub for cash and collecting change and card reader is on a pole.

Yes. Always. And if they are not wearing one themselves, we'll ask them where's their mask ?
Once they have left the item and walked away 3m, one of us will retrieve whilst the other holds the door, negating the need for the other to touch the door.
Item goes to a quarantine area for 3 days. Then straight to wash facilities to clean hands, then tap handles cleaned afterwards.
Foodstuffs for the fridge/freezer are cleaned at point of entry. Non perishables go to quarantine area for 3 days. Items in quarantine are kept apart from each other to prevent cross contamination.
Tradespeople who need to visit inside the house are asked about their exposure to the virus, if they have had it and when, plus any close contact with those who have. Then we'll make a call on entry on whether to allow a visit. If a visit is permitted, distancing is practiced, we wear masks, etc. When they go, we sanitise the areas they touched or came in to contact with. |

They wrote to us too. It was actually a really nice letter saying they were there for people who were lonely. Only a short sentence about the religious stuff. Mainly it was saying hang in there and we're all in it together kind of thing.  |

They were really kind to my mum's friend helping her hang her curtains and another person I know was helped by them too.
The letter we received said they hoped we were well and contained a leaflet basically telling us we were doomed |

Almost all delivery people leave the package on the doorstep, ring the bell then step back...as recommended by the gvt guidelines. It's mostly contact free and has been since March.
Even Tesco pull the trolley with the green crates up to the door then move away while I retrieve them.
So I only wear a mask if I'm expecting some interaction....a signature or the one time a plumber came. |

All my deliveries have been left at my door with them at a very far distance do they are aware and so am I rather than thinking whose left it plus my plumber wore one and I wore one before opening the door and still kept our distance when he entered |

There was a JW where I used to work. I once asked him if it was true that they were the chosen ones when Armegeddon came. He said yes, we are. I then asked why he had life insurance. He couldn't answer that
I rarely order anything for delivery, mainly because delivery drivers can't find my house, but when I do order anything online I tend to order off Amazon and collect it from the local Amazon Locker. |
