its a merry go round still doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. their only answer is to lock us down but leave all airport open. we can't go 5 miles but can travel to brazil or come back from it . how stupid and ridiculous. |

4 people have been found to be infected with the new strain, on their arrival in Japan.
The variant B.1.1.1.248 doesn't have much information about it, other than identification of mutations in the spike protein.
Certainly we can expect there to be more than 4 people who have the infection. But we don't need to be as alarmed as on our own 1 |

Quarantined irrespective if they tested clear or not as they could have caught it on the plane. The test certificate like it or not is only and I stress only as good as the MOT cert and STI clear test at the time it was taken.

Anyone who thought herd immunity was a option, just look at manaus in Brazil, where they had no lockdown and massive deaths. They thought at around 74% of the population had caught covid, giving them herd immunity.
Sadly they are being hammered by this new variant that is reinfecting them again... |
