Yes, we've had it.
Please try to eat, you won't want to but it's so important for energy reserves even though you're hardly going to get out of bed, fluids also. Paracetamol we took to temper the very high temperatures you'll experience but above all go to hospital when needed. You'll know when the time is right, don't try to be a hero slogging it out at home. |

"Anyone had it and took / did something to make life comftable , im two days in and feel like a train has hit me , mad stomache ache , back ache and muscle pain . . ." when I had it they didnt even realise it was here... so I just hydrated and took paracetamol... I had a humidifier which helped.
I spent over a week where getting out of bed was to much effort without assistance and when the coughing allowed... sleep was my friend..
Hope it is kind to you as I was still feeling its grasp some 3 months later..the fatigue was ridiculous |

Drinking lots of fluid is important to flush it out. If you don't feel like eating, honey in warm water will give you a little energy. In fact, asians will advise you not to drink anything cold at all while you're unwell. Aim for 8 cups of warm water a day.
If you can get unwaxed organic lemons then juice two lemons and blend the skin, juice, 2 inches of fresh ginger, a teaspoon of turmeric and cinnamon, bit of black pepper... you can store this in the fridge for a few days. Add a teaspoon of this paste to warm water with honey and drink regularly. This gives you a good boost of vitamin c.
If you're taking vitamin c supplements, I've read 3x1000mg doses of vitamin c a day are needed to help fight this.
If you can get mullein tea, you can drink that too.
The other thing asians will swear by is adding 10 cloves to water and bringing to the boil. Add to bowl and then inhale the steam for 5 minutes. Repeat 4 times a day. Helps massively.
You can also make the clove water to drink. My sis had covid over xmas and her mother in law sent over a litre of clove water (amongst other herbal remedies) for her to drink every day.
I'd recommend buying a pulse oximeter so you can check your oxygen sats don't start dipping below 94%

We had it, but very mild. We rested, drank plenty and ate what our son cooked (didn't matter what, couldn't taste a thing) and just waited it out.
As others have said, trying to monitor any temp and pulse oximeter for O2 stats is a good idea.
I didn't have the cough or temp, just the taste/smell loss, plus headache and tiredness. Mr KC did have a fever and cough. He took paracetamol, I didn't. |

My mate said the same, except he used the 'like being hit by a bus' analogy |

I feel for you mate just been tested positive. Started with high temp for first two nights. Ache all over like I have fallen down a long flight of stairs. Can't smell or taste anything. Tight chest cough and breathlessness.
I don't understand how I caught it been locked in since lockdown no contact with anyone other than essential shopping and even then never been out without a mask.
So take it from us this is real wear masks and hand washing |
