"Police to enforce the regulations. They have issued over 45,000 fixed penalty notices, in the UK. "
It would be interesting to know what the fixed penalty notices have been for.
Is it mainly individuals businesses for example. |

The police representative didn't say, but some recent incidents were someone holding a party on a boat for 40 people, a mini bus load of people from different households travelling to exercise and someone trying to organise a rave in the South West. So sounds like it's mainly individuals...x |

I have to say those it is the people that have been used in some of these examples that people should be genuinely targeting their frustration at rather than someone who can't wear a face covering in a supermarket.

He didn't make that clear, but when you think a householder was fined £10,000 for holding a house party, it doesn't take long to add up and the police weren't fining people so much in the early days. |

The first £10k fines in Nottingham weren't paid, and now go to court in February.
There's talk of magistrates taking in ability to pay, which means the students may get away with it. |

In the UK the Police hand the fine, O wait they hand it back with other. When we had the hard lockdown here in Spain we could go out for a walk and workout BUT no further than 1k from your homes, kids were not allowed out to play for 8 weeks
Plus we still have to wear a mask at all times. On the upside we can still go to the pub up until 18.00 |

don't mind this as long as they don't be lazy and just go for soft targets.
Was complete nonsense and a waste of time when those women were fined for walking outdoors with cups of coffee.
The fines have now been quashed, so hope they concentrate on house parties and indoor gatherings where the virus almost certainly spreads.
That, of course, is difficult and it's more likely they take the easy option.

They should stop fining these fucking idiots and just get their National Insurance numbers and their NHS numbers from them, when they get booked for knowingly breaking the law, with regard to Covid 19.
If they get a ticket, HMRC charges them 20% more income tax, for the rest of their lives.
If they get a ticket, they are at the back of the NHS queue for any non-vital treatment.
I realise that sounds harsh - almost Chinese - but it's only going to affect a few thousand selfish fuckwits; and the money raised can be spent on the NHS. |

Do doubt down to the rhetoric of them not needing to be paid. But once they start to escalate then people will realise... and pay them.
Let's face it they have already proved they aren't the cleverest group by breaking lockdown.
I just did a quick search (not on Facebook) they look pretty clearly enforceable. |

That because most people are only familiar with linear progression in mathematics.
Exponential growth confuses them.
As you say R=1 (assuming every infected person infect just one other) is
1,2,4,8,16,32,64,128,256,512,1024,2048,4096,8192,16284
As you can see above after 10 steps you start getting into horrifying numbers which is why behavioural change and lockdown is needed to break the transmission or chain of infection |

"If 45,000 people have been issued fines; how many morons have got away with it? How many morons do we have in the UK? 2 million? "
Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Finding those people in groups such as parties, extended family gatherings or friends in a park or mini-bus trip would/could be so much worse than a couple of individuals up a mountain trail too.

"If 45,000 people have been issued fines; how many morons have got away with it? How many morons do we have in the UK? 2 million?
Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Finding those people in groups such as parties, extended family gatherings or friends in a park or mini-bus trip would/could be so much worse than a couple of individuals up a mountain trail too.
"
Do you think there is any reason why they chose to hit two attractive white middle class ladies who were very clearly social distancing than focus on the examples you give? I mean surely if they were hitting bigger groups that would also be getting media coverage? Or is it simply that the media chose to pick up and promoted the two blondes? And chose not to put pictures out of the basement card schools with pictures from their historical social media included? |

"They should stop fining these fucking idiots and just get their National Insurance numbers and their NHS numbers from them, when they get booked for knowingly breaking the law, with regard to Covid 19.
If they get a ticket, HMRC charges them 20% more income tax, for the rest of their lives.
If they get a ticket, they are at the back of the NHS queue for any non-vital treatment.
I realise that sounds harsh - almost Chinese - but it's only going to affect a few thousand selfish fuckwits; and the money raised can be spent on the NHS."
i can't see a problem with that but i would add a public pants down spanking in front of the hospital while the nurses and patients clap from the windows.. just an idea for you priti |

"why did Boris travel from 1 side of London to the other?
If he had stepped out the back door of number 10 he would have been in st.james park or even green park if he wanted to go a little further"
Because cycling is banned in most parts of both. 7 miles on a bike is nothing, hardly worth bothering with for less, |

I'm sure they did. But doesn't alter the fact they were the target as opposed to any other targets which could have been picked with more people standing more closely and not making attempts to socially distance. |

But do we know they were the only ones fined that day at that place, I doubt it. Beauty spots are an easy target to catch people out, just like here night time / parties are |

True. Whatever the reasons I think it would be better to parade a gang of 6 or 10 football fans / gamblers / party goers whatever for 3 days solid across all media outlets whom the public are much less likely to empathise with that the two blonde ladies. (and by the way... Where are all the blonde jokes?) |

But that wouldn’t get them support & 5 seconds of fame. We know when a party has been closed down here or individuals fined for being in the no drive / stop zone. |

Avoids the situation, that if it went to court, then they would have been named. "
Bet his mum and dad are happy |
