Act like you’ve got the virus, government urges ... take it literally or not

Jump to: Newest in thread

If you take it literally then no one at all should be out, thats no one for any reason.

A source then adds that everyone should stick to the rules.

So shall i ask someone to get me my shopping as i am acting as if i have the virus so self isolating. However everyone else is acting as if they have the virus so they are self isolating and of course the shops are closed as all the staff are self isolating as they are acting as if they have the virus.

Whilst it's good advice it really would help if the rules had not been relaxed to where they are now as to essential etc..

Were in a far more parlous state with the infection rate of the new variant and yet more people are working and some if it simply is not essential..

If anything we should be closing all shops apart from food, DIY stores are magnets for people who are bored ..

Any trade's people who fulfill an emergency role can access spares etc via notified specialist suppliers..

It's madness..

It is all rubbish. We should never have locked down in the first place. Nature would have taken its course, the economy would be healthy. We could all still have met. Stop lockdown now.

My Doctor is convinced I had it back in March, as did many people I was spending time with when the whole thing broke . . . But I have maintained all the rules (as far as I can see) since then.

I have been giving blood samples too for Lab work to test for Long Covid. Have an arm like a druggy atm.

This whole pandemic has been handled appallingly by government but why is everyone trying to take every statement to the enth degree ffs?

This is about people being more cautious, using common sense - when you go out steer clear of others, consider if the shopping trip is really necessary etc.

To suggest it would mean not going for a vaccination is ridiculous.

The only logical option is a full lockdown like we had last Spring. People are still having to go to work in factories etc.

Unfortunately Boris hasn't got the balls to do the right thing but it would seem neither have lots of others

When you state 'all', I assure that you mean those that didn't tragically lose their lives and health, whilst the virus ravaged society?

If no restrictions had been imposed, just how bad do you anticipate it would now be?

I think the Government need to peform and act like a Government too.

They are to blame for the shit we have found ourselves in.

All we needed was Clarity and Leadership and some balls to make hard tough decisions.

We haven't had any of that. Every decision made has been too late, too slow and a half measured approach at best.

Government has failed Britain, Not the people. The moment you start allowing individuals to police themselves and act on "Common Sense" it was always going to be a shit fight.

You could of course just use a basic level of intelligence and take it as read that you just think as if you may be a carrier...

As such you limit movements, wash your hands regularly, wear a mask when venturing out for vital supplies and observe social distancing.

how about the Government act as public SERVANTS as per their pay description and start serving instead of dictating.

How about abetter idea, put it to a vote what the people want to do, after all it is the PEOPLE paying for the NHS so we are entitled to a service we have already paid for

It is forever, this is the new normal

The vaccine only reduces symptoms, it does not stop infection or transmission so we must wear masks, social distance and obey lockdowns always

Don't take it literally.

Use your common sense.

Do not rely on being infantilised or spoon fed.

What? Like a referendum you mean?

The last one went really well, even now the minority still cannot accept the majority decision even though its done and dusted what makes you think a lockdown referendum would pan out any better.

“ ....Apart from all the dead people....many many dead people...”

Indeed, allowing nature to take its cause will lead to many many dead people.

It will also lead to many many sick people.

I don’t see how the economy would be ‘healthy’ when you have many people off work due to illness.
