That’s good, were you offered/having the second one? As I’ve heard a few now say they only having the one as they are trying to roll out more jabs to more people. And one jab should be sufficient. |

You will get two jabs but to make them go further the lapse between 1st and 2nd jab will be up to 12 weeks apart. One will give some protection but 2 will still be required |

I don't understand this really, my hubby has cancer and goes to the hospital a lot, yet they won't give him the vaccination, every member of staff at that hospital, has not yet been given the jab, this is a fact, was there yesterday as well, not one nurse or doctor. Yet we hear some people who can pay for it, have had it. What happened to the protect the NHS!. Seems to me the government need to practice what they preach. |

"untill the msm start getting hysterical about how many over 80's are still dying. I am still waiting for the 500,000 dying a month they predicted back in march."
No one ever predicted 500,000 a month. Imperial predicted 500,00 would die in the pandemic. |

"Im so pleased i had my first Covid Jab this morningGreat but your 65 how did you get it?"
Some hubs have had an excess of doses delivered when appointments had only been made for the expected number. Because of the short shelf life of the Pfizer jab in particular, hubs have been ringing through contact lists to use up the extra doses.
That's how I got mine on NYE. |

If you haven't had this jab yet, please don't be a Billy liar, and say you have, like I have already said, my hubby is over 60,and is fighting cancer. So this doesn't help, and is very worrying. He has not been offered it. X |

Is it not necessary for them administrating the job to wear gloves, so many of the pictures this morning are showing the medical staff not wearing gloves when administering the vaccine?
(This is a serious question, and maybe it isn't necessary for reasons I'm unaware of.) |

No. It affects dexterity and it's adequate to wash and sanitise hands between patients. |

Whilst I understand your frustration It really doesn't feel helpful to be upset that others have had it 1st.
Unless he is officially on the government shielding list he will be number 6th on the list. We all just need to be patient and wait our turn as frustrating as that is. |

This is what I don't understand whilst I don't have an issue with front line staff including pharmacists having the vaccine there shouldn't be so many extra ones especially when so many over eighties haven't had any contact yet. |

I agree totally, I know quite a few vulnerable over 80s age people who have had no contact, and I'm also hearing about so many young, non vulnerable, non frontline people who have been in the right place at the right time.
I understand it shouldn't be wasted, but if somebody would have called some of the older people that I know of, they could have been there in a flash and probably would have benefited more both mentally and physically. |

For clarity, I am on the CEV list and was scheduled to have it this month. The opportunity to have it 3wks early was a happy coincidence. |

I wasn't in any way having a dig, at anybody including those who have had the chance to take the vaccine early and have gone ahead with that.
I hope my message didn't come across like that.
