No, but he only seems to pop up after the event when everybody already knows what's happening. He's done nothing proactive for Londoners during the pandemic, this is why I am criticizing him. |

I have said previously that he was not active enough in working with local boroughs to provide alternatives for workers reliant on public transport and it was also a bad policy to cut the number of tube services in March. Also many are unhappy about the Congestion Charge extended hours (essentially motorists are subsidizing London public transport), he should of stood up to the govt about this. |

In your opinion..
In relation to the latter point the treasury have been playing politics with TFL and him over the loss in income since last March and funding..

You think he's over reacted?
I think he's an attention seeker"
Cunning, using the pain, suffer and deaths of thousands to get in the news. Surely as Mayor of London he could achieve this in many other ways... Evicting the Tennant's of Buckingham Palace, raising congestion charges to £1000/mile, diverting the course of the River Thames... |

No, the hospitals are struggling with the amount of people being admitted. There was a doctor on tv this morning, from a London hospital, saying he was frightened and angry, frightened because they don't have enough critical care staff and angry because people aren't doing what they are asked to do to stop the transmission, that is a major incident, many more are going to lose their lives...because of this... |

You mean shortages of ICU's and staff just like the last 10 years at this month ?
No more deaths, on average, this month that the last 8 years on average...in Jan.
Ivor cummins..please forgive these people...for they know not what they say

I think it was the Gaurdian who did an article showing headlines going back year after year, all saying stuff like "hospitals at breaking point" or similar.
I'm not denying this time may be worse but.....
we have allowed our government to continue to underfund and prepare our Hospitals for winter illness |

One the hospital would be better prepared for had we funded and staffed them better after every previous year they have been at breaking point |

FFS... it is a million times worse than a normal January! Our ICU has expanded to 3x it's normal size and is full. We now have no ward beds left. By next week London will be at least 2000 beds short which is the equivalent of 3-4 hospitals. Simply put we will have to stop treating some people and let them die. There will be no other alternative. This will not be a normal January! |

The biggest issue with hospitals, surgeries paramedics throughout the country is that so many either have covid or have to self isolate leaving every department stretched with numbers, having field hospitals were simply a waste of time and money as when numbers rise it's inevitable that NHS staff will also be affected. |
