Vaccine in polling in polling stations
Jump to: Newest in thread
When there is an election everyone ( who can vote)
Gets a card and goes to the polling station to vote
Could this system be used to vaccinate everyone ?
I know it will take longer and there are supply issues but it would safe a lot of paper work as the system must be in place now ?

it would only get the people on the voter role, not everyones is registered to vote
however setting up clinics in the way we do polling stations for mass vaccination does seem like a sensible idea , and much like voting schools and community centres could be used
i would imagine staff and vaccine limits would mean it would still be spread over a much linger period though... volunteers to count votes and to vaccinate need very different levels of training |

that did just spring one thought to mind though
dentists and dental nurses and cosmetic clinics must all have at least a good chunk of the training already in place ... they are already injecting mouths and cheeks and lips etc
surely it would make sense to bring them on board with some top up training rather than furlough them to get it rolled out as quickly as possible |

"Vets dentist and many other people must be able to do it, not to mention the army
I know there is a need for medical help to be on hand if anyone reacts badly
"
i saw someone else posting that most of the army medics are TA and already work in the nhs which makes alot of sense but wasn’t something i had considered before |

"When are the next elections though?! I'm not sure there's any local elections till May. A bit late, no? "
i wasn’t thinking at the same time as elections, i thought it meant just similar set up and an example of a situation where we can “pop up” and have many people processed in a short space of time |

That's kind of what's being planned. It just needs the staffing and infrastructure setting up. That's the limiting factor. |
