"Surely if the vaccination works lockdown will ease no???
Yes but how long is it going to take to vaccinate us all? "
That's the issue of the day.
If they have the vaccine here, can't the army get involved to administer it faster?

It must be awful for younger folk like yourself, in good health, who look forward to weekend, partying & socialising
I'll admit, it hasn't changed my life all that much because I am not particularly social and my disco days are done with
The only thing I miss is the routine of work and the banter with my colleagues
However, I do find it emotionally draining, mostly due to the relentless coverage and discussion / disagreement
As a people, we are much better than this
I do wish we could find a common strategy and something to strive for
We are stronger together, yet we are so fractured
It's all very sad to witness

There is more to it than just a lack of people to administer it
Covid: Can we really jab our way out of lockdown? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-55488724 |

Sorry for not replying everyone haha in my opinion this lockdown will probably be the same as the last! I think we’ll spend most of the year locked up thinking about it! It’s going to take a few months to get the most effected vaccines, but me being young and not a high risk I’ll probably be waiting for a while lol |

We're going to be slow to build up momentum with vaccination numbers, which will delay the point at which the vast majority of people who may have otherwise been admitted to hospital, will have strong immunity and can avoid serious illness. Realistically, assuming the government get 2 million per week done from next week, it's still going to be early March before we get dramatic reductions in hospital new admissions. They will still have residual patients for some weeks, so potentially the start of April, for hospitals to start recovering to closer to normal operations.
We could ease some more restrictions from March and the least affected areas could possibly return to Tier 3 after February |

This lockdown is nothing like the first.
There's so much more still open, drive through takeaways, many non essential shops doing click and collect, much more manufacturing still going on. Travel reports on the radio were non existent, this time the roads are pretty much the same as pre Christmas. |
