Life’s Roller Coaster
There will always be peaks and troughs of human existence.
In the analogy of a roller coaster, right now the world is going on a downward decent into a long dark tunnel.
We are all on the same ride but experiencing it very differently. There are some of us strapped into the carriages with young children who are restless & screaming at the top of their lungs in fear as the roller coaster plunges down yet another massive drop, with their parents at their wits end.
There are couples clinging onto each other for dear life, knuckles white as they endure the ride together, & there are carriages where only one seat is occupied. These solo travellers have their own set of fears & emotions, often lonely, longing for someone else to be with them in their carriage.
We are all on this particular Roller Coaster ride, where it seems the whole of humanity is spiraling downwards into a dark tunnel.
There is a light at the end, we just can’t really see it yet, but we hold on, knowing that one day the darkness will subside, the fear, terror and sadness will stop. The light will return to the journey, & we will all come out of the end of the tunnel together, & when we do, the experience will have changed us all in many ways.
Ultimately, humankind will survive. Humans “being” kind, is what we need right now !
Whatever carriage you may find yourself locked into, take a moment to look around you to those in different carriages. How are they doing? Reach out to them as much as you can from the carriage you are in, even if with just a smile, or kind word. Encourage each other & spread a little love.
We can be strong even though we feel weak.
Hang in there fellow travellers, through gritted teeth & white knuckles, till life’s Roller Coaster brings you to a safe & bright part of the journey!

Very nice and positive sentiment.
Not sure the roller coaster analogy is quite right though, as for most people the descent is the fun part!
For me I'm feeling tired of the drop and the darkness and I want it to end, but I'm not exactly looking forward to getting back on the slow uphill grind either!  |
