To get swinging sites to remove people who are asking to meet basically, I think. But it was written in capitals and therefore really aggressive! He certainly laboured his point, again and again and....

He wanted Fab held with other dating sites responsible for not doing enough for preventing the spread of covid on the Change petition site

Like we don’t have to worry about reporters enough on her

I can fully understand people being scared

But wanting sites like this discussed in Parliament is asking for trouble

Yes we love sex , but the majority of us will obey the rules

Maybe the site could do more , but that’s the owners choice

I’m sure we would prefer the site to stay a little more low key than parliament (although I know journos stalk here etc)

I have friends on "vanilla" dating sites and its the same there too.

You always get people than disobey the rules despite every effort by site owners.

I think all those ideas are ridiculous yes but I think fear is making some people say some over the top things, as you have highlighted. I’m more scared for my children’s future than mine but don’t want any of those measures you talk about implemented

Fear is definitely creating some ridiculous ideas

It’s also fuelling the conspiracy theorists

Of course I bloody don't!

Do I wish Admin would listen or have a dialogue with its members yes of course the country is in the shitter atm.

We have had 5 PMs for meets in the last hour serious. The people meeting feel emboldened and protected with a free pass to crack on advertising via the status updates.

Anyone reporter fishing gets a one way ticket to our block list. I'm not sure everyone will respond like that though.

It does seem like a free for all lately

The site owners are not doing enough to protect their users that want to obey

But they sure as hell are protecting the ones that break the rules

Correct... BUT it's the status updates that are the main driver for the meets. Direct approaches will be rebuffed by anyone with morals/a brain and after countless knock backs (and quite a lot of wasted time) some people may get the message.

A status update is a quick "reach out" and takes no effort from the poster with much more chance of a "quick win". If that makes sense?

It just cuts off that additional avenue of opportunity

Problem being of course that removing that link from Fab doesn't remove the petition.

What chance is there that the press wouldn't check whatever claims are being made there?

Taking status updates instantly removes their ability to advertise hosting or looking for meets to their local geographical area.

I know how much those meeting value the status update feature by the amount of abuse I have been messaged for standing up and asking for it to be removed for a while.

Take it away and random messaging is what they are left with. Will it stop all meets no but it will make a difference and reduce a lot that's for sure.

They probably will. But surely any dating/sex sites would have tried to make themselves as compliant as is possible for fear of any potential reprisals so they should all be confident in their ability to rebuff any such claims?
