Hi All, not sure if there are any professionals reading this, but my question is:- can the Covid vaccine help someone that has, for example, got it serious enough to be admitted into hospital, in the same way as taking Paracetamol to cure a headache, or is it simply a preventative vaccine? Hope the above makes some sort of sense! Sue x |

From my leyman understanding, a vaccine teaches your body how to fight a particular virus.
So that when you do get infected, you body recognises the virus and fights it off at an early stage so it doesn't get a chance to become serious.
In the situation you describe, you'd be trying to teach the body how to fight the virus while there is lots of virus in the body, and the body will already be doing that very same process anyway as that's what would have started happening when the person got the virus in the first place. |

If you contact the Pfizer company they will give you the evidence and research on the product that 99% of the population no absolutely nothing about.

I read that one of the scientists that made it said the uk should do more test before buying it
And 10 month rather than the 2-10 years testing and checking safety doesnt fill me with confidence
Just my opinion |

A vaccine is to create a response in your system that creates t-cells that bind and destroy covid cells.
It can't be used as a treatment.
if you catch covid your body attempts to fight it of (this is what makes you ill)
So a vaccine is a preventative not a remedy |

The problem is that 1%. Who knows who is in that 1% and that equates to over 650,000 in this country alone and if only 1% of those got complications and died, that would equal or surpass the total of Covid deaths but bear in mind, the total deaths WITH Covid doesn't mean they died because of Covid. It means they had tested positive for the Covid virus within the last 28 days of their demise whatever caused that..
It's great saying 99% but who, just who are the 1%? |
