Maybe, or maybe just got bored having the same arguments. As has been said many times. Peoples opinions are entrenched and rarely changed especially by poking the bear. I suspect if there ever is an enquiry that there is some truth in some of what some of them are saying and a healthy scepticism is needed when we have authorities doing such a self serving job. I mean whoever thought going from a lockdown to keep infections down, straight into having 4000 people travelling to and from a crowd event (when previously only 6 people could gather) and then straight into family gatherings for 5 days pagan festival... Then try and convince people we need another 4 weeks hard lock down....
At the same time, I'm sure some of what we are being fed will be shown to be either inaccurate or misinformation.
Neither side changes the facts that we need to manage the spread of infections because infections lead to hospitalisations for some and hospitalisations lead to deaths that would not have otherwise have happened.
We are the ones who have the power to spread this... Or not.

It is and that is not counting the longer term consequences of long covid as its been called, the complications that access to NHS services becoming next to impossible for some for 9 months will lead to (in some cases).
As you say you can analyse that in many ways to suit many agendas. And credibility is in short supply with so many vested interests and a rabid media looking to create hysteria and clickbait with little or no responsibility. |

Maybe they've been 'made quiet' by forces with more power in the fab universe than anyone else. I know of several fabbers that don't out source their fear to government officials that have been 'made speechless' recently and had their tongues cut out. I've only recently had mine reinstalled after a 72hr operation.
So let's NOT hear it for the silent majority. Wouldn't want anyone else to discover that their powers of communication have been curtailed. |

Yet another pointless analogy.
I belive the annual number of deaths from smoking related illness are dropping.
Whereas the numbers for Covid are rising.

Sweden is not having a ‘so called’ second wave. They HAVE a second wave.
And the 34 who died is higher than any other Nordic country. They’ve had higher number of deaths in the first wave, and are experiencing higher number of deaths now in the second wave compared to their Nordic neighbours. |

So what you're saying is that the Nordic countries are all doing really well and the first wave really wasn't that bad and the second only a little worse?

5 British pounds...
Seriously though the cost will continue rising whilst people continue to follow their own selfish agendas. Doing what they can get away with, without caring for the consequences. The cost is a divided, unhappy society, where we know the cost of everything and the value of nothing. Stronger together. |

I’ve never had a problem with difference of opinion. I enjoy discussion. What I was referring to however were the people disregarding rules because they think it’s all fake and made up so they’re not going to do it. Especially with no reliable evidence that it’s fake. |

Or not.
55000 is a frightening fact though . Analyse it all you like !!
78000 die each year from smoking related disease! That’s quite a statistic!
And completely irrelevant
This. ^
Yet another pointless analogy.
I belive the annual number of deaths from smoking related illness are dropping.
Whereas the numbers for Covid are rising.

"We haven’t changed our view ,when the economy is trashed ,NHS is unaffordable for the country and is there in name only , when there’s mass unemployment, we have lost our freedoms we will discuss it on here then
Project fear Time will tell but we think not
Will all recover same as it always does.... it’s what humans do hence why we evolve
Yes but to at what cost? X
at what cost has previous wars, pandemics etc toll taken we are no different it is what it is and can’t change but look to future and try just get on with it.... no amounts of talking about it changes anything being proactive does
Exactly this.
We survive, we evolve, we adapt, we grow, we continue.
The "at what cost" comments make me groan.
At what cost if we do nothing?

U groan away! X
You'd rather we did nothing?

The excess deaths is the only true figure that matters in the end. However the deaths data by date of death is the most accurate way of showing the direction of the pandemic. |

"Just seems odd that the Covidiots have largely disappeared which is great news
I suspect that with the number of deaths and even Sweden myths now debunked it's even dawning on the less educated that the conspiracy theorists have made accepted it was total nonsense what they were spouting "
There's a full moon in a few days. It will be like 28 Weeks Later at end of the month. |

"7 deaths in sweden on 23 November
What does this mean?
7 people died of covid on the 23rd of November
Ah yeah, 0 people died of Covid in Finland on the 23rd November,
And at the peak of Swedens so called second wave, only 34 people died.
"
I'm clearly saying that among the Nordic countries Sweden has had the worst outcome.
Not sure why you struggle to understand something so simple. |

I hear you loud and clear. Sweden had a very low daily death total maxing out at 34 and all the other Nordic countries had even less.
Great news that our Scandinavian brothers and sisters are doing so well |

Great news for the rest of the Nordic countries APART from Sweden who are having the worst second wave among them all to the extent that The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control has marked Sweden with an 'orange alert' due to its poor handling of the crisis. |
