Jump to: Newest in thread
I hadn't seen it but sounds like good news will check it out later
Much as we are pro vaccine I'm not sure if i would trust one from Russia
I've no problem with Russians in fact I'm quite partial to their Vodka but vaccine ... Hmmm ... Maybe |

Great news, with the better news still when full results are available and they support the success. Seems to be effective for vulnerable populations too.
It's expensive - perhaps 10 X the price of the Oxford vaccine. The UK opted out of the collective EU purchasing of it, so we have no guarantee of getting any.

Excellent news. The second mRNA vaccine to give amazing results, and its doesn't need to be stored at the super-low temp of the Pfizer version - minus 20 Celsius rather than minus 90. I've read that this means much easier logistics as many medical facilities and pharms already have the kit for storing at this temp. |

Report in Bloomberg today - It's possible that people who are vaccinated will still carry and spread Covid-19.

I guess genetically modified crops will not be an issue in the UK anymore as people appear to be ready to queue up to receive a genetically modified vaccine. It would appear that according to the BBC, the Chinese vaccine is the only one that takes deactivated coronavirus. The others involve genetic engineering of one sort or another. |

"How long before its widely available? "
The UK opted out of the EU purchasing agreement, so ee have none heading our way. It's apparently under discussion now, so perhaps spring 2021. It's more expensive than the Pfizer and Oxford ones - 10 x the Oxford one price. It's good to have the choice.
The full results of this first 2 aren't available yet, so we don't know anything other than they seem to work with vulnerable ages and groups. We don't know how much they may stop infectiousness etc yet.
I'm guessing that the Oxford vaccine will issue news this year soon. |

Apparently today we secured 5 million doses of this newly announced Moderna vaccine for spring 2021. It still will need approval here first |

They are all jockying for position. Its a market place and pfizer announced before the safety data was complete and published/ peer reviewed. This is now a markets game. Go back in time 6 months and buy shares in big pharma.
Im not a conspiracy nut - im gonna get the vaccine and do my bit and gollow the rules. Its pretty clear the announcements are about getting the orders in though |

But the shares now, as it's when it hits the market and is brought out en masse, shares should go ballistic. |
