Good to see that the British Medical Journal have finally woken up and posted a very critical article about the politicisation, “corruption,” and suppression of science in respect of Covid-19. Here's a small extract
"Politicisation of science was enthusiastically deployed by some of history’s worst autocrats and dictators, and it is now regrettably commonplace in democracies. The medical-political complex tends towards suppression of science to aggrandise and enrich those in power. And, as the powerful become more successful, richer, and further intoxicated with power, the inconvenient truths of science are suppressed. When good science is suppressed, people die." |

Well that mantra has already past its sell-buy as a meaningful contribution . . .
"Snowflake has become a standard insult to shut down another person's ideas. Calling someone a snowflake isn't an effective method of debate--it is after all, literally name-calling. That thing we all learn in kindergarten that's unacceptable... yet adults still manage to put into action like it's no big deal."

It's true in many ways. Trump just couldn't face slowing or stopping the economy and accept that COVID even existed. Same with climate change and the human effects. Many Business leaders like Michael O'Leary Ryanaire screamed the science was foul - as did Elon Musk when the state of California insisted he close his biggest factory. there are many many more. |

This..
We all differ on some subjects and shock horror we will also agree on others..
Meaningless clichés such as stated are simply the fall back by some who wish to suppress those with whom they differ ..
We all can learn by engaging .. |

The BMJ have woken up ?
It's an article by someone that's just as entitled to his OPINION as you or I or anyone else. (And he does have a lot of opinions)
You did of course not the bit about not being peer reviewed ? |

You'd call these threads debates, that's a laugh, iv not seen one virus thread that hasn't descended into an argument, including this one |

"I don't see an argument in this thread at all? Kindly point it out?"
There was almost one provoked by someone using the phrase 'snowflake' in an attempt to undermine anyone not agreeing with them, but it was crude and clumsy and didn't work out. |

Having read the article, contrary the the inferred OP, this article is hardly supporting the "woke" narrative suggested. On the contrary it would seem to suggest that the Author feels that the government is ignoring the science to deliver a less severe response than the scientists would like.

Exactly how I read it too, definitely not the impression the selective quoting gives. |

'A small extract' or as it's called in critical thinking - cherry picking the part that fits your cognitive bias. |
