This is a real pain, we signed for a house in France the day after Boris said France was added to self isolation list
Then last month we got to France a day before the French did a national lockdown
The we did a lockdown
But question
If Anyone was to pay for a test after 7 days, then be allowed to go back to work if proved negative.. should this be the way forwards? |

Quarantine on return is under review and will be reduced after the english lockdown ends on 2nd dec |

Is that 11% of university students or does it include people who would not take part in a survey because they are stuck in their homes? It's another fictitious "statistic" isn't it ? |

When I had Covid in late March, we stayed home for nearly three weeks in total, due to the staggered timing of our symptoms starting. We had problems getting online supermarket deliveries because of the scrum of everyone else in the UK trying to get them and this is despite being Ocado smart pass members and I'm disabled (meant to be priority). Guess what? We didn't go out. Anywhere. I did ask my brother to do an aid drop, which he did by leaving stuff at the end of the driveway.
It's do-able people. Boring, tedious, but do-able. If everyone who needs a do it actually does it, we'd be in a better position.
We were (and are) working from home, which contained through our Covid. |

The study, which paints the first clear picture of how many people are following the government’s virus guidelines, was published as daily infection cases in the UK reached a record 6,634.
Researchers surveyed 31,787 people living in the UK between March and August, finding that people’s intention to follow the guidelines was much higher than their actual behaviour, with more than 60 per cent who had not developed symptoms or been asked to quarantine saying they would do so if the situation arose." |

So, out of nearly 70 million population a survey about intentions by 31,787 is hardly representative..
Plus, the demographic make up is important. Ages made up could be a factor
Plus areas interviewed in. Was it representative of the entire country including every county?
I am not saying that the figures aren't what is representative but there are so many factors to be taken into account before such a survey is conclusive |
