Honestly? I might consider it if they were very obviously flaunting the rules - like having a massive party.
But for small stuff, I try to keep in mind that I don't know people's circumstances. During the first lockdown, I was very scared of being reported because I had a few different people come in and out of my house - those people are/were my carers but I didn't feel the need to share that with my neighbours because it's really none of their business.
This lockdown I will be doing the same thing. I am still concerned about being reported, but I am not breaking the rules so anyone who did report me is a fucking dick who will look stupid. |

Isn't it about helping eachother do the right thing to reduce risk of spreading the infection.? Sometimes that means making tough choices not just taking the way route. If I was doing something that risked spreading it... And a neighbour asked me about it or worse challenged me.... Yeahbid hate it at the time. But when I'd had a chance to reflect on it... I'd most likely realise they were just helping our community get through it together. |

I’d be reluctant too for most scenarios, but if it was someone breaking lockdown to come to a holiday home, I’d do it with no second thought.
It has been happening in holiday areas a fair bit. I understand the desire to come, but travelling from areas with high cases to ones with low cases is deeply selfish and disrespectful.

It depends what they were doing. If they had maybe 1 or 2 people in the house as they are a family of 6 then no I wouldn't. If they had people in an out all day or had a party then I would consider it. |

I did once. Called the police as she had friends up partying. Police never bothered coming out so I probably wouldn't do it again. I don't see the point if the cops obviously can't be bothered to follow up! |

I wouldn't.. I don't know each households situation. Ie people going in could be carers / home helps.
One neighbour is elderly and lives alone so has family over to help her out..
We have all gone from "we're in it togther" in April to "curtain twitchers"
Now dont get me wrong if they were having loads of people round for a party then I might be pushed to reporting. Im a lover not a fighter.. I look out for people. |

I live on a little street of terraced houses, we’re all very familiar with who lives where and who people’s visitors are. The couple over the road have their son, his Mrs and their kid round all the time. Technically a rule break, but unlikely to impact anyone else. So I keep my mouth shut. There are a few like that on my street. My Dad comes round to mine occasionally if he’s lonely. I’d expect my neighbours to keep their mouth shut about that too.
If any of them had an obvious party, 20 plus people or something then I might consider it. As I would expect to be reported myself for such an obvious flout of the rules. But no one has done anything like that. People are mostly staying home and doing as they’re told. Me included. |

Depends which neighbour. The idiots next door that had a party in the summer that required a police visit and numerous complaints to their letting agent for excessive noise.. possibly yes if they took the piss again.

That’s reminded me of the wonderful story about Neil Armstrong. Sadly, it’s now thought not to be true, but I love it anyway.
There was a story that, on the full recordings of the first astronauts on the moon, at one point Neil Armstrong says out of nowhere “Good luck Mr Gorsky”.
This puzzled people for years. Eventually, it transpired that NA grew up next to a couple who were always arguing. One day, they were having a raging argument, that culminated in the woman saying to her other half “the day I give you a ****ing blow-job again is the day the boy Armstrong next door walks on the moon”.
That was Mr and Mrs Gorsky

I doubt it. I prefer to not concern myself with what others are doing, nor judge them for doing so. I do expect our societal role models to do their utmost however, so if my neighbour were a member of parliament or sage and they were having a party, then I absolutely would.

This puzzled people for years. Eventually, it transpired that NA grew up next to a couple who were always arguing. One day, they were having a raging argument, that culminated in the woman saying to her other half “the day I give you a ****ing blow-job again is the day the boy Armstrong next door walks on the moon”.

The band Sleeper even wrote a song about it in the 90s (not very good IIRC).
I think there’s no evidence for the story. I have a feeling he might actually have said the words on the recordings though.
